    Thank you.

How could any of you guys even think too say Ferrari would copy Ford? Are you on crack?

    GTO's victories:

1962 Sebring: 1st in GT class, 2nd overall
May 6, 1962: GTO was first in class at Targa Floria and 4th overall
Le Mans (same year): 1st in GT class, 2nd overall
    Paris 1000kms: 1st, 4th, 5th
    1963: 1st, Tour de France
    1964: Daytona 2000km: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
    1964 Sebring: 1st, GT class
    1964: Tour de France - 1st, 2nd
    (There's much more than this)

FERRARI WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE SHELBY COBRAS IN 2ND in 64'.
(Taken from "Ferrari" by Godrey Eaton.)

The GTO went on to claim 3 manufacturers titles in all I believe.
And did it with 3.0L's, against your 6.0-7.0L monstrosities, or however huge those V8's were.

  2. much as i love ferraris enzo did cheat a little to beat them damn ford/shellby things. he delayed the race and used his influence to put in restrictions so his 250lm could win. n e ways ford had a few glory years in the 60's and 70's now look at the shit they build

  3. GT-40 was a direct decendent of the Shelby Daytona Coupe - which was a hard top version of the A/C Shelby Cobra... which made it's debut in 1962 AGAINST THE FERARRI GTO. So I guess neither of them copied anyone.

Right now Ford has the second-best handling road car available, behind the Corvette Z06. Shut up.

  4. Ford has the second-best handling car out today?
I doubt that. You mean in America? Which Ford?

I think the Ferrari 360 Modena, Porsche Boxster S, Nissan Skyline GTR, Subaru WRX, all cars that are famous for good handling must be better than the Ford you're talking about...

  5. Cobra R, 0.99g skidpad against ALL production vehicles in the world today not specifically designed for track use only, behind the Z06's 1.00g. Well, according to both Car and Driver and Road and Track magazines, anyway...

  6. this ferrari is a copy of the ford gt40

whatdo you think? is a copy or not?

  7. They do look just alike, but the Ferrari is uglier. I dont like that back extension. I'm not sure which one came before the other so I cant say that Ford copied off of Ferrari or vise versa. <!-- Signature -->

  9. i think it is ford who copied fom ferrari<!-- Signature -->

  10. not at all. You're stupid.
    They are NOTHING alike.

  11. any similarities are the fault of ford, im sure. there are many examples of this.<!-- Signature -->

  12. Ford's GT-40 was a copy of the Shelby Daytona Coupe, which came out in 1963, before this car. And Shelbys/GT-40 never got there asses kicked by the Ferrari GTO, it was the other way around. Both cars won twice at LeMans - ahead of Ferrari. Shelby even took his Mustangs over to Cypress and beat Porsches, Lambourghinis and Ferraris there. This #$%#ing anti-Ford shit is getting old.

  14. Everyone everyone gather round. I am about to tell you about the sickest showing of the Supra ever. Go on morpheus and download "Getaway in stockholm 2" it kicks so much ass. It is a supra flying around the freeways and streets of Stockholm, the camera is mounted on the bumper of an Escort Cosworth, both cars tuned to around 450 hp. Check it out for the love of God. These drivers are my heroes . It is so funny to see the police cars get blown by. Tell me if you've seen it, you will be one of the lucky few...

  15. We all know Ferrari is better than ford. I agree, nobody needs to say it. Its a generally known fact. Btw, Ferrari had 250s out before the Shelby came around, and that is where all the cars people have mentioned are derived from.<!-- Signature -->

  16. Actually, greghourian, read YOUR race history, the two years Shelbys won the LeMans, Ferarri wasn't in it, and that HP/Liter BULLSHIT is the stupidest, most unfounded line of crap I've ever heard. Know anything about engines? I guess not.

  18. yoo kalypso where the fuk do u d.l that video dude, i mean shit u got me all hyped up man n than wha the fuk no link, thas not right man, hook it up with the website or something

  19. If any of you guys out there know anything about motersport, you start to relise that all teams and manufactures copy eachother. take ferrei s 2001 f1 car. the front nose was raised down and look at the results they achieved. when season 2002 arrived, notice the teams like jordan, jaguar, mclaren and renault. they all copied ferraris aero dininamics. so dont be suprised if either ford or ferrai copied eachother. it happens.

  20. no way, if u put them next to each other, they look nothing alike. they are remotely similar, but nowhere close to being copies of each other

  21. First, the GT40 was developed in parallel to the Cobra Daytona Coupe. While both shared the 427 side-oiler block, the GT40 mill was prepared specially by Hollman & Moody. In terms of the GT40 Chassis, rumors abound that it borrowed liberally from the Lola MkII. The Dino 206P was a direct lineal descendant of the Ferrari prototype program. And, if you're referring to whether the body designed by Drogo on commision for Ferrari is a copy of anything Ford produced, I'll chalk that up to a similar engineering solution to the problem of how to aerodynamically clothe the mechanicals in keeping with the FIA regulations.
