    Slow down on the RWD being shit and FWD being better. I think that is what your trying to get at. Just remember that nearly every top supercar, etc, in history that has been produced, has been RWD and that the best supercar ever built arguably is the McLaren F1.     A Men to that But still you don't have to lower the compresion to TT a V8 you just wont have your engine for more than a month or 2, "yes we all belive you" (Lauphing very loud) but even so put this worthless car of yours against an Evenly moded TT Supra or 300ZX or Well a stock Skyline you will be embarassed stupid domestic racers!

    It's not how you can Accelerate it's how you can Drive learn this and you will know that you are just learning how to race.
     
  4. i've been amazed at what the japanese car industry has done over the past few years what with their 100 bhp/litre cars and what not but i must say any grand am running 10.2 at the track must be commended. everyone who is talking trash about it should realize one thing and on thing only: this is a grand am running 10's closing in on 9's with proper tuning. that is one commendable job. regardless of the stigma following american muscle i must commend grandamman for his ride and what he accomplished with it

  5. I've driven a 99GT and a 01 Bullit, not to mention a 2000 prelude...the prelude was a piece w/ no power what so ever. Not to mention to ugly interior and limited space. Finally @ about 6 grand you feel a little surge of power. W/ either gt the handling was excellent, the looks were great, 'specially the Bullit. So here's the deal...pay 20+ for a prelude...or....pay 16 for a 99gt add a 4 grand procharger and run 442 hp and 513lbs of torque...yeah buddy, you see alot of those everyday....maybe one might not see so many preludes because it's an overpriced fourbanger w/ no balls...get a real car

  9. Well he drove the Nova all across Houston, new Viper 800TT's run low 9's, and some guys legal Viper drove a 7. As for musclecars going for a dime a dozen, pretty much any car made from 1980+ is a "Sports Car" tho there are exeptions I'd make like the new ZL-1's, corvettes, and Vipers. Show me a true muscle car that goes for cheap: Cuda, ZL-1, Copo, Yenko, Roadrunner, Dart, Charger. Most races anyone will face are on the road making straight line performance a big factor. When you say a fine tuned import I think of stock maxed out engine. Once and for all, V-8's are capable of more than 4 bangers in performance and won't crap out after two months of hard use...not to say that 4 bangers are bad, but physics can't be wrong.

  12. I don't think any cheap american cars like trans ams can ever beat a mclaren f1. Maybe the one driving that f1 was disabled? Who knows? While u just kick your gas and leave that disabled behind and you considered your self a winner? Who knows?

You can't even get a mile from your house without seeing 2 or 3 dozen other trash american muscle cars go by. Why not buy a car that's a little less common?     Are you people stupid The Mac F1 isn't the king of the road anymore. And let me tell you something krophoss John Colletis Boss mustang ran 0-60 in sub 2 seconds i think. Talk to skinny tick for the real time. The ZL1 Camaro (new one is just as quick if not quicker than the Mac. There are things out there. It is called tuning and making your car faster. I have ridden and driven some fast #$%#ing shit. i personally know a 300zx TT that can probably keep up with a mac F1. There are things out there. And that new buggatti Veryon will be able to smoke the mac. There are plenty of things out there that can beat a mac F1 just look and get out there and start working on shit and researching you will find numerous thins that will.<!-- Signature -->

  16. To say that in a drag race and American car would always win is pretty #$%#in' ignorant. It is usually true that American cars have more horsepower and definatley more torque, but don't underestimate those Japanese cars. I am the unlucky owner of a '68 Ford Mustang. I've had the car for a year and I've been trying to restore it, and don't get me wrong, it has some power. But I'd take a '99 Honda Civic SiR over it any day. And yeah the Acura NSX is undougtably one of Japan's greatest cars, but I'd still take a Skyline R-34 (or R-33) Vspec over it any day. Oh yeah, you're piece of shit Trans AM is nothing. It handles like crap, probably the same as my car, but I'm not saying my car could smoke a McLaren, where the #$%# did you just see one of those driving down the street. The guy driving that car probably didn't even try to race your trashy ass. His car is worth well over $1,000,000 as a pose to your trailor trash piece of shit car. And like I said, I have an old Mustang but I'd take an import over it any day.

    How was this messured? and what does your gauge say when your turbo is redlined? if you truly have this kind of force in your engine you would not be using a 2JZ GTE, it's just not possible reinforced or not or did you just go all out and get a titanium Block? yeah right well you see if you are actually running 35Lbs right into the engine your gauge should be reading something like 50lbs and as much as I looked there is NO gauge that reads this high, or are you one of these idiots who runs there turbo without a gauge (It's actually not that smart to), in other words your full of shit

  19. What I don't get is why a muscle car geek would come into this forum, look at a hot import like the NSX, and then bag on it. It almost seems to me like the muscle freaks are jealous or something. Another thing I never understood is why american cars, with the exception of vettes and vipers (even some camaros), are so damn ugly. I mean, they have curves in all of the wrong places, they tend to be really big cars, and worst of all, they look dated the second they hit the market. So what, your car is "really fast" in some drag race... it's too bad the car looks like shit and probably breaks down more often than you'd like to admit. Hell, I'd be embarrased to be seen in one of those monstrosities.

  23. I hate to bash on american cars but they suck $hit. I work at hertz rentals and I drive american cars every day it makes me sick. Sure there fast if they don't have to a turn if so look out. I sure no one who reads this forum is envy of a american car.If so thats your choice but go and drive a import and relize the difference.
     
  24. Night Rider, Car Freak.... You are both a couple of morons. You are both trying to compare cars with tens of thousands of dollars dumped into them, to a car that will run 12's STOCK. Car Freak, if oyu actually do have a 550, how much you pay for it? 100k, 200k???? and Night Rider, how much money did you dump into your two cars? A fully loaded Ram Air TA will set you back a whole $30,000 and it will actually be STREET LEGAL, unlike your Supra, which, if you are juicing it, is NOT street legal, and I promise you I could look at your car and find more street illegal items on it... Now we take the $30,000 car, put the rest of the money you spent on your Supra and put it into the TA, and I guarantee you will be running the same #'s as that Supra. I am by NO MEANS saying the Supra is bad, I am actually wanting to buy one very bad. But there is no reason to trash the TA's like you were. And if you want to get down to handling, you can take the money left over from working the performance (Which there will be plenty of...) and have that TA on rails, because it already handles beautifully. Everyone here, both those trashing Import cars, and those trashing Domestics, need to get their heads out of the ASSES and realize that different people prefer different things, wheter be a 7 second 4 banger, or a 10 second big block Chevy, they are both equally impressive cars.

    As for this quote, go to Lingenfelter.com. He made a Twin turbo 427 that is street legal and it ran 9.524 at 145. This with an Automatic ans NO NOS. Check it out for youself, timeslips right on the page, or can you not handle the fact of a chevy going that fast and bieng street legal.
