Re: what engine would go best in this?

  1. I think they should try something new. A V-14 would be nice. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

  2. what engine would go best in this?

If the designers were to take this a step further and create a production car from it, what engine should go in it? Should they take an existing jap engine, outsource a euro or american engine, or create a new engine platform.

I would like to see a japanese supercar like this based on the 4.1 or 4.5L alloy V8, they share alot with the VQ series V6 engines which get alot of critical acclaim, but its a v8 and is a flexible and strong powerplant, could benefit from forced induction. Also the Lexus V8 would be a good powerplant.
But i think they'd want to be creating a new V12, perhaps using two head from a jap inline-6<!-- Signature -->

  3. None I hope cuz I dont wanna see this piece of crap on the road.

Its a bad imitation of the real thing. XJ220 Rules!!!<!-- Signature -->

  4. it needs a W16 quad turbo in it
like the veyron bugatti<!-- Signature -->

  5. a Cold fusion powerplant. lack of a drivetrain could just mean that theyre using something that doesnt need what we consider to be a drivetrain. hell we need to get off the i.c.e. and get into some new engine tech.<!-- Signature -->

  6. Althogh designed by the Japanese, this car stands out as a full out european super-exotic. And I think it is only suiting that the engine continue the trend. One specific company that was in the past and still makes engines for themselves and other companies, is Lamborghini. They have supplying companies like Zagato and Pagani with engines for a while now. And they not only tear up the competition, they look and sound gorgeouse. I think a classic Lamborghini V12 should be in order for the Orochi. Perhaps a version of the current 6192cc V12 in the murcialago which already pumps out 580 horses. I'm sure they could massage it up to 600 for the Orochi...<!-- Signature -->

  7. v10 or v12 as interesting as bugati's engine is well... its a waste of time the only reason bugati built it was because they could and because no one else has done so since the 20's-30's about a 4 liter turbo v10 or 12. i prefer na engines but i just don't see that hapening in this...

  8. I'd love to see this thing turn into a NSX-killer with a supercharged V6 making somewhere around 455hp.

You're right, it would make a great car, but using the lambo engine will just make lambo a more common thing.<!-- Signature -->

  10. i think the best engine for this would be the twin turbo v6. since it is based on the xj220, it would be the only one that would for sure work. i'd like to see it with a jag or benz v12 though.

  11. They should get some help from subaru and porsche and but a flat 8,10,or 12 in the beast (or serpent). The center of gravity of a boxer engine would suit this car and i haven't see a car every with a flat 8 or bigger. Than if that isn't enough power stick twin turbos on or a super charger. and it should be highly tuned so it can take on the McLearan F1

P.S. shut up it can't spell

  12. Snake to snake, they should stick something capable of matching a Viper in performance in this thing at the very least. Coming out of Japan (their cars are nothing but fuel economy...) this thing should be good enough for everyday driving like the NSX too. Man, the styling on this is sick, talk about eye catching!<!-- Signature -->

  13. By the way... anyone here ever play King of The Fighters on the Neo Geo and arcade? Remember the demon guy behind the story, Orochi? Doesn't this car look that damn demonic too? <!-- Signature -->

  14. I would go one of 2 directions in this case. Staying true to the Japaneese theme I might go with an RB series motor from the Nissan Skyline with the the psi bumped up. Or maybe something related to the Toyota F1 engine.

If I were to go with a European engine it would probably be a V12 from BMW or Mercedes.<!-- Signature -->

I think the 7.01L in the Pagani Zonda C12-S would do this car some good...and that thing sounds sweeeeet. But my complaint with that is that when it revs it sounds like a kitten doin speed and purring. So if they could work in new headers and a brand new big exhaust kit for a deeper, richer, more throaty roar than that of the pagani, i think this car could make my "dream BIG" list.<!-- Signature -->

I agree totally with you, it needs the W16. but i think that they need to do a few modifications on it and make iut a little faster, I know that may sound pretty crazy, after all it pushes out 1001.1hp but in my mind i really picutre this being the fastest street legal car. But, hey, that is just my opinion. anyway, that is the engine that i would say goes best with this car.

  17. the engine that would best go with this Mitsuoka is a 3.6L V-10 because it is light and not to heavy for it. this car doesn't look like the XJ220 Jagman!<!-- Signature -->

  18. I'd like to see a BMW V12, like the one used in the Maclaren F1. u gotta love the power.<!-- Signature -->

  20. Well in the christmas spirit, I say replace the wheels with some form of sled system and tow it with some huskie dogs, and replace the headlights with reindeer's noses. HO HO HO, Merry Christmas to all and to all, a Good Flight!

    (just to make sure)

  22. it will rules the jag soon or later . You will see it then hahahahahahaha

  23. It has to be 600cc 3 cylinder smart car engine. Thats all this cars worth.

  24. A 1 cylinder .5 hp piss sucker!!!!!!

  25. I'm thinking twin turbo V10 or 12<!-- Signature -->
