Well actually this car IS in production, and it's worth a 100k. www.vipercompetitioncoupe.com for more infos.

and this car on a track could kick some major european ass. Everybody goes about ranting about viper beeing shit in corners and all, well it's not. this ain't no '72 mopar cuda (although I love that car very much), it's a 2003, equipped with the latest technology in direction, braking, steering & engine. It's a pushrod, not because they couldn't do some DOHC engine, but because it delivers torque, something no import can seem to do.

check your numbers before you speak. oh, and btw, the 2003 viper will be even more powerfull than the GTS we all come to know and love, it'll be cheaper & handles better...

    even a greater value now.<!-- Signature -->

  3. well, the Nissan Blitz Skyline GT-R R348 would sure kick its ass, no doubt about it<!-- Signature -->

  6. so your saying a boxter would beat this?<!-- Signature -->

  7. get real people...with the cost of ferraris and lambos...i dont see anyone of us driving one of those cars. But if you can diss a V10 500HP 200mph 0-60 in less than 4 secs, get help. I say this is the best value when it comes to sports cars! This car's styling is very nice and im liking it more everytime i see it.

  8. this car is extreme tightness!

  9. Why don't you try TVR.

  10. Actually i think the new vette z06's are probably the best performance for the buck. 0-60 4.1 seconds and at 50 grand.

However vipers are a lot less common and look a lot better.

  11. Because TVR'S are more expensive than this.<!-- Signature -->

  12. This car really is the shit!!! all the american car haters go on and on about how smooth and refined the ferrari is and about the Porsche, the Lambo and blah blah blah...

Admitted they are nice and just as fast as the Viper maybe a bit more, but i mean come on 4.1 vs 4.0 vs 3.9 vs 4.2...
for heavensakes if 0.1s really makes that much of a difference go strap urself to an F16's wing and we'll all be happy never to hear from you again <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

It really is a matter of personal choice but at the end of the day the Viper costs a lot less than most of the competition and it's made in good ol fashioned US of A.

and if that ain't good enough for out, Good luck & hope u enjoy German lifestyle or the mob in Palermo!!

  16. lots of cars could beat this hunk of shit. like lambo ferrari porshe and if u want to spend $100,000 why not max out a honda civic or another import they would leave this car in there dust. or have alot of fun and biuld a lowrider they are the best!

  17. if this car hits production there aint nothing thtaa'll beat for a long ass time

  18. it's probably going to be the new race version.<!-- Signature -->

A Honda Civic will still be a Honda Civic no matter what you do to it. If someone asks you what car you have, you won't go on and on about the modifications you made to it, you'll say a CIVIC. Let me remind you, a Civic is the crappiest Honda and is considered a compact economy car. So if you want to “max out” a car, pick something a little better. Like a Skyline, NSX, blah, blah. I’m naming Japanese cars because Italian cars such as Ferrari, Lambo, and Porsche, don’t need to be modified because they are already perfect. And no matter what you do to a civic, it will never have the class and style of the European supercars. It may be faster, but never better.

You call a viper a hunk of shit, then go on to say how great civics are? What the #$%# is wrong with you people?<!-- Signature -->

Beat? What do you mean? Around a racetrack, on the drag lane? What? If you meen around the track you're really wrong cuz cars 30 years old can beat that car around a twisty race track!<!-- Signature -->

  22. Its a pretty Truck!
Yes its fast but then a Small house would prob be fast with 500Bhp! <!-- Signature -->

And a metro for the price of an Si will kill the Si, it does not mean it is better. You cant compare moddeds to stockers. If you want to talk about modding, just get a Viper and put another 30K or so into it, and no Civic will ever touch it in overall performance AND reliability at the same time without gutting the car and turning it into a mutant. Once you modd a car that far, reliability is out the window 99% of the time. Shoot, a 4K 5.0 mustang will slaughter many cars, but it is not neccesarily the best car out there. And a regular Viper, as of '03, with 500 hp and 500 ft/lbs of tourqe for about 80K, with a highly advanced IRS setup and a driving feel that is being praised by proffesional writers.<!-- Signature -->
