Request: BMW 507

  4. king albert of belgium used to have one.
    i've seen some footage of it. it was from when (being a prince back then) went to pick up his wife to be at the airport.
    there was a (big) mass of people gathering around him, and he just accelerated away at full throttle.

    that was a nice thing to see...

    love this car, designed graf albrecht 'something' right.....?

    Coral Red with Sand Dune Beige leather interior, Beige carpeting and Beige convertible cloth top, approximately 4,000 miles since complete restoration, 4-speed manual, Rudge wheels and rare factory hardtop.

    The 507 is powered by a 3.2 liter V-8 in this examples case, a rare factory high output Race-Hillclimb engine, it delivers 195 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. Couple with its lightweight aluminum body this made for more than adequate performance compared to sports cars of its day. The 507 unveiled at the 1955 Frankfurt Motor Show wowed the crown with it stunning good looks.

    This 507 was restored in Germany in 1991-92, it has been shown at various concour event for many years, it is well known having been owned by a prominent collector. This example is not only rare being one of only 252 ever manufactured, it is also sorted and ready for either show or road use.
