sat scores

  1. Colleges that aren't art schools do, otherwise yeah.

EDIT: I took the old ones the last year they had them thinking I'd be able to apply to schools with them. Then none of the schools actually knew wtf they were going to do about the new system, and required everyone to take the new ones anyway.

  2. Most colleges are more interested in GPA, etc., since aptitude doesn't give any idea whatsoever of what the student is like. I'm not saying that test scores aren't considered, but it's certainly not as significant as it used to be.

  3. High assessments coupled with a low GPA will only tell the college that you're a lazy ass.

  4.
  5. I R 13. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  6. didnt take it, but i got 31 on ACT

and thats with like 26 IIRC on the reading portion of it <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A> if it werent there it would have been like 34, cause thats what the other ones were at

  7. 30act, no sat

  8. A lot of schools have some formula for combining SAT scores and GPA. I know all the public schools in CA are like this - if your combined index is high enough you pretty much get automatic entry into any of the CSU schools.

  9. sophomore year in HS btw

  10. I never took it because by the time I got old enough to I realized I wasn't going to go to college. I always scored 95-99th percentile on the normal standardized tests in all areas though... Except spelling, that I was only in the high 80s most times. Who needs to be able to spell anyway after the invention of the spell checker?

  11. People who don't type everything they write, which is pretty much everyone.

  12. I usually go out of my way to avoid writing anything but forms or other shortish things by hand. I have horrible handwriting so I've just always avoided it. In any event I was still on the high end of average, it's just a weak spot for me compared to my other scores.

I wish I had taken the SAT in retrospect though since it's the benchmark. I wanted to take it twice actually. Once while drunk with no studying having been done, and a second time properly prepared. Just to see how good I could do wasted. I took finals wasted 11th grade year. I got As on all but one, which was a B!

  13. 730 on the math portion and 620 on the verbal or whatever the hell it was. Thats 1350 for those of you who went to art school.

  14. 710 Math/750 Verbal. I #$%#ed up the math part pretty well. I had to pee ultra bad during one of the sections. It was a lower score than I'd ever gotten for math on any of the practice exams. On the plus side, though, 750 was the highest I'd ever gotten for verbal, so it kind of worked out. I still would have liked to have been over 1500, though.

  15. When I took the new SATs my math score dropped 50 points.

  16. 33 ACT w/102 degree fever

    no SAT

  17. I think I scored 100 points higher in verbal than in math, it explains why I am an engineer.

  18. 1240, decent enough. I'm glad I didn't have to do the stupid writing section.

  19. 1540/1600, 2290/2400

    Math 790
    English 750
    Writing 750

Still not good enough to get into Vanderbilt. Those assholes.
