Same here but more like 90%.
Yeah my first pain was in my chest, when I burnt my oesophagus, but that went went away after about a month when it started to heal. It comes and goes depending on what I have eaten and stress levels etc. The pain you have under your sternum is the hiatus hernia. Its your stomach pushed up into the oesophagus. As pain goes, its not a bad one, but its omnipresent and very stressful to have. It will come and go depending on how much of your hernia is sticking out. Eating fast makes it worse. It also hurts to actually touch it from the outside. They will pick it up on a camera down your throat and put you on pariet, somac or Nexium. Nexium is the best, but be careful, it stopped working for me. They usually start you on massive doses if you have caused any damage to your oesophagus and then lower it when you repair. You won't poop properly on massive doses, but it makes you feel better.
If the hernia is bad they may chose to operate, but they usually avoid that operation if they can. Im not going to lie, having a hiatus hernia is pretty shit. But sounds like you are already eating and doing the right things. It will be the cause of your reflux.
I'm on Nexium for my reflux. Works pretty well but I feel like I'm slowly building up a tolerance to it. Which sucks balls because without it, I can't eat any of the awesome food or drink any of the awesome booze.
I stopped drinking and eating carbs and now I never get heartburn/reflux. It used to be a daily thing.
What, so no KFC® Double Down® for brekky, lunch and dinner?
It's a daily thing for me. If I make a list of foods to avoid, something new always ends up causing it. Mostly smoking and I am an addict. Best solution is Losec pills which work better than nexium but I guess everyone's different
Yeah one day it just stopped working for me. Sucked balls, back to square one. Im on somac now, not as good.

I don't know that I'm in love with my boyfriend.
My self-righteous super-Christian #$%# of a mother-in-law just admitted she can't wait for North Carolina to legalize marijuana.
