I would like to have alot of information on car ex:suspension engine brake transmission tire etc No howstuffworks.com please.I know how each works but I will like to know even more. thanx.
You can learn a lot by going to Barnes and Noble or any bookstore for that matter, and reading the books there. I've learned so much from reading.
Suspension, a good book to start with is Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams, it gets into tires pretty well, since they're the whole point of a suspension. Engine: depends on what type, lots of good books out there on the subject. The one I have is John Lingenfelter on Modifying Small Block Chevy Engines. I saw a good book on brakes at Borders, didn't buy it though, maybe next time. Most of these books are published by HPBooks, take a look in the transportation section of Borders or Barnes and Noble as suggested by Ssa rM. I, too, have found plenty of car knowledge from books.
