It's a 935, but not Moby Dick.
I want the Porsche 917-01-021, one of four spyders, due to its Finnish history. Probably costs a lot though, It was on sale not long ago.
Does anyone has some decent colour pics of the "Cam2"-917/30 from Talladega?

It sold last year for around US$800 grand.
That yellow/red 917k is the Kyalami Africa AUTOart model.
I've seen all those cars in person, except that yellow/red 917 and that martini 917 (the one i saw had Yellow instead of orange/red)
Which has the better sound?
probably the 917 coupe or the 917/30, I should post oup the video clip i made of #20 Gulf 917 starting up and idling and Penske 917/30 #6 porsche starting up and leaving.
ok, it might be a while but i'm uploading (still on the first) 3 videos of 3 different 917s starting and 2 of them are leaving. Gulf #20 917, Bosch 917/30 and hippie car 917L
ok, here are the three videos finally!
Nice nice nice.<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
Here are a few I took of the same engine in high-res (I might have to upload them separately...).
917 Long Heck :
917 K :
880 from 7.2 liters.
EDIT: I accidentally uploaded the wrong picture first, now I can't delete it. So one of those images is all about the flat-16, the other is about the flat-8.... I could post pictures of that, but it doesn't apply to the 917 so I won't.
so it's from a 917 canam ?
917 experimental that was intended to do can-am but turbos made the Flat 12 more effient and added torque. the Flat 16 was dead until like 7000 rpms (like a S2000)
LOT OF POWER!
A complete buildup of a 5.0 liter engine
Like Yuma80, I am also trying to find photos of the Cam2 917/30 at Talladega in 1975 (Mark Donohue).
I am working on a 1/18 diecast model project, and have had a lot of help from others with regards to photos. I'm looking for photos specifically now of the intercoolers either on the car at Talladega, or while owned by Otis Chandler from 1976-1983 (it is the exact same car purchased from Roger Penske). Also would like a few photos of the car at Daytona in 1975, when it had multiple engines failures (the markings were slightly different from Talladega).
