The Best Japanese car ever made

Discussion in '1998 Nissan R390 GT1' started by RLQ, Aug 10, 2002.

  1. Its faster than some European cars, however I prefer Euro. cars. The R390 can kill a Skyline, 300zx, NSX, Supra, RX-7, etc.<!-- Signature -->

Yes but in no way faster than the GT-One

It would all depend on the viewer. I agree it's by far one of the best if not the best, but i just love the 1999 blitz skyline. 0 - 60 mph in 3.0 seconds check it out at this site, i love the car to bits

I don't really like Oriental cars much at all, but I would love to have one of these. It's the only Japanese exception for me.<!-- Signature -->

this is not the best japanesse car ever made, repeat this is not the best japanesse car ever made, there are ones GT1's to be expact that are much better

  7. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

by far the best, as for the 787b and the toyota gt-one, i doubt that they r road legal

  8. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

rlq you also have to consider that this nissan is atleast 900,000 dollars more than the skyline and nsx the most expensive car out of the ones you mentioned; and even though i'm not sure the tommy kaira zz2 is being produced yet i bet it's a lot better than the r390 gt-1.
i'd also probably take the first zz over this because of the xtremely unattractive million dollar price tag. but if this was much cheaper than i'd probably take it over the zz but not the zz2.

It might be the best jap, it might not.

  10. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

Did anyone actually ever buy one though. I mean, there are still XJ220's in England that are waiting to be sold. The Toyota TS020 (Official name for Toyota GT1) made a road legal (so we think) car as well. And we are always hearing about the cost of the Veyron and all the twelve year olds who say they own a car just because it has a spoiler on it, but does anyone really know if they were sold? Did the Sultain of Brunei buy one?

In no way is this the best Japanese car made, but it is in the top of the bracket.

  12. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

sorry i can't give u answer on who owns it but the fact is they are out there somewhere. if i had a guess i would probably think the president of Nissan owns it. the toyota ts020 was a road legal car but the only model resides in some museum.

I think that that this baby would come 2nd in the top 1,000,000 of supercars. number 1 would be gt1.

  14. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

This is absolutely one of the best ,absolutely pure japanese car made to date.

  15. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

I know its kind of stupid to compare cars that are absolutely diferent, but this car, with all its Le Mans technology, its twin turbo v8, sequential transmission, and its very very low weight cannot stand up to the acceleration performance of the new Viper, which is kind of surprising. This car will definetely out-handle the Viper, but its impressive how the Viper, being heavy, low tech, raw power beast can out-accelerate this supercar.

    Take care people

  16. Re: The Best Japanese car ever made

ubet!this tight.it will surely knock out couple of german cars

  17. though i'm not familiar with the new Viper i'm pretty sure the amount of torque it can produce would be heaps more than what the R390 can muster.

  18. The Comp viper is awsome and well cheaper than the R390 and definately gets my vote hands down and I own a Nissan 300 dreaming to get a viper one day...
