10. I'd have to say Chevy small block, or the Cummins 24V diesel.

12. S70/2 or the 360's engine. i'd say S70/2.
13. ...if Saab would put the SVC engine into production that'd be it. No other engine could match the power, economy, and flexability in such a small, light package. Variable compression turbos are the way of the future...
14. Yup. They are unbreakable. I ran one without coolant for about a week. All I had to do was put new coolant in it.
15. the SEARCH ENGINE. without it us internet addicts would be absolete.
16. it's a 50s buick design
17. I second that...
18. Chevy small-block. It can be used for any application, really. And there's so many offshoots, nearly 20 V-8s (including all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen blocks), a couple V-6s, and a 4-cylinder. And that's just factory engines.
19. 2.7 RS.. hands down
20. In terms of leaving the biggets impact on the auto industry as a whole, I'm gonna agree with others and go with the Chevy small-block V8. Nowhere has an engine enjoyed so much popularity or been seen in so many applications.

As for the sweetest engine built for a singe car, the 6.0L V12 in the Ferrari Enzo takes the cake for it's combo of power, technology, and soundtrack.
21. ferrari fanboy. the bmw m power 6.1 l v12 in the big mac made as much power and torque ten years earlier with astounding technology aswell.
