I wonder... could you Lowride this thing? It would make a sweet Lowridin', Girl Seducin' machine! Some 22's and 2 or 3 inches lower... Call me crazy, call me stupid, I don't care!<!-- Signature -->

It would be a cool dune buggy, but the sand would get all in your eyes because of the lack of doors.

Thats right man this buggy has to be one of the best designed concept car, truck thingy. Just look at the power.... who wouldnt wanna be driving that thing aroung.. ripping up the terrain..... damn i want that thing in my garage

  9. Re: The perfect doon buggy!!!

yea we would all like to have this thing in our garage imagine how much fun this would be off roading in. but it goes without saying that good old practical ford would never take a chance with anything no matter how good it was. so looks like it wont be in my garage

This is a general reply to a bunch of different posts.
    1. Most DUNE buggies run between 90 to 150 HP from VW engines.
    2. Read the article in the feb or mar edition of automobile magazine. The car will most likely never be produced, to much legal stuff.
    3. The suspension does not need any modification it is sitting on opposing articulation swing arms for the most suspesion travel in the least amount of space. It has about 12 inches of travel already.
    4. It did not start off as an Explorer it is a totally new car. The only pieces it shares with the Explorer are the engine (minus the supercharger) and the transfer case. This car much shorter and built to be a race car.
    5. Trivia. According to the article in Automobile magazine, the car is named after head designer Golden's wife.......EX.<!-- Signature -->

    nice
I think Ford did this one because they saw this Off-road, rallying craze coming. Just as Jeep recently realized, they need an affordable, entry level, do -it-all car or semi-truck.

i saw it in 4 wheeler next to some serious offroaders and all they did was praise it. this would make a great limited production car.<!-- Signature -->

You are are what is wrong with the automotive industry today. If you think that it is a good car why should the badge stop you? You must be to ignorant to figure out that it doesn't matter, and that ford has proved to be far above average in alot of comparisons. <!-- Signature -->
