The purest distillation

  1. Over the years, there have been numerous attempts to create a detuned, road-legal version of the Porsche 962C. For example, see the Schuppan 962CR (first picture) and the Koenig C62 (2nd picture). All were expensive, rare, valuable, and thrilling. However, the Schuppan was ugly and the Koenig was slow (comparatively speaking), especially for it's monstrous hp/torque. I think the Dauer looks best and does the 962 justice more than the other immitators (which, unlike the Dauer, are not listed in the formal chassis registry). They really got it right!
