this car will probably be very very slow

  1. Okay its nice 400hp and all that is pretty nice.. But its going to be overpriced I'm sure and anyone whos going to be paying 100k for this car, which it will probably cost if not more, will be able to afford the gas!

Okay now to as to why its gonna be slow... lets see, two engines! theres a lot of weight right there! I'm not sure how they work those hybrid engine things, but will probably have batteries which are heavy. Also 4 doors! all wheel drive! not even a manual transmission! its an automatic! (real smg can't be put into automatic... see ferrari) I think they should leave hybrids to what its meant to be, econoboxes. I'm guessing this car will weight just a little bit less then my dads dodge ram 3500 v10 towing our 32 foot 5th wheel trailor! And of cource sinse its gonna weight a lot, its a honda which, of cource means, NO TORQUE so it will have no way to get this 3 ton car moving. Hope anyone who plans on buying this doesn't live on a hill, you'll piss off all your neighbors with your honda engine reving at 30,000rpm... Hybrid sports car... what the hell were they smoking when they thought that up...

where did you get that number? because I very very VERY highly doubt it is going to be that fast. Although I don't think its meant to be a sports car, maybe a sports sedan at the most

  4. Re: this car will probably be very very slow

Hey UNGOD, You are a #$%#ing moron. Don't be so #$%#ing stupid. this car has 400 horse power, it obviously won't be slow. And the other engine will over power the weight issue. ****, I wish you would think before you speak

  5. Re: this car will probably be very very slow

This car is hella fast and lite. All your post shows that you dont know shit about cars and that theres more factors to speed than weight.

  6. Re: this car will probably be very very slow

Weight is the highest factor, but Ungod really doesn't have much of a point. Torque is for Towing, his dads dodge would probably be more efficient when towing his 32 foot 5th wheeler if it had an I-6 Diesel. Gas engines are naturally faster than Diesels (when not towing anything). The Diesel can tow a house without effecting its acceleration. So therefore if you had a V-10 Dodge Ram and a Diesel I-6 Dodge Ram both towing 6,000 pounds--- The Diesel would accelerate faster. So his dads truck will probably be very very slow when towing the 5th wheeler. This Honda on the other hand is undoubtedly fast.

Not to mention that it gets great gas mileage and it's GOOD to teh environment.

  8. Re: this car will probably be very very slow

shades of the Chrysler 300M? looks too similar to the body style of the 300M...400HP from a Honda? amazing..

  9. Re: this car will probably be very very slow

Actually, 4 engines and 1 ultracapacator: 1 MR 3.2 liter engine, 1 MR Ultracapacator, 2 FR motors mounted at each wheel, 1 RR motor mounted between the rear wheels. Total weight is still low, weight distribution is going to be even better than the NSX.

Oh, and before you start bashing Honda thinking of this concept you should know that while Honda isn't going to put it into production yet, both Ford AND GM basically stole the idea from Honda and are both going to come out with similar Performance Hybrids - only theirs not only have larger, heavier engines, they also have less hp and tq.

Ungod you are truly a moron. Dont make stupid assumptions on something you know nothing about. What you said about the car being automatic, guess again, its a clutchless 6-spd tranny, similar to formula1 cars, what do ya think now huh?! This car is practically something of the future, it has so many advanced features its unbelievable.

riiight, obviously you know a bit about hondas, but have you taken the time out to learn about electric engines? LOADS OF TORQUE !!! thats the main reason that cars can actually have electric engines and still move, look at that toyota w/ the electric engine.. 60 hp but like 180 ft-lbs of torque, it all evens out really...and the reason that honda has this concept is that they make all of their engines emmissions friendly, even the little weedwacker engines from honda will be low emissions

just becuz it's a Honda, it has no torque? Well, look at the new accord V6, it has 211lb/ft of torque, look at the Acura MDX, it has 250lb/ft of torque, no torque?

And i dun't care how much power a car has, as long as it's fast, it's great for me. ANd this car does 0-60mph in 4.0 sec.

He wasn't agreeing, with the guy, he was pointing out that this car will have torque, the first part of his post was a quote from somebody else.
