    0-100 mph: 5.6 sec
    Quarter Mile: 10.71 sec @ 138.95 mph
    Skidpad: 1.06g
    Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft
    Slalom Speed: 75.1 mph
    Top speed: 235mph

    McLaren F1

    0-60 mph: 3.1 sec
    0-100 mph: 6.3 sec
    Quarter Mile: 11 sec @ 138 mph
    Skidpad: .86g
    Braking, 60-0 mph: 127 ft
    Slalom Speed: 65.4 mph
    Top speed: 240+mph

    the McLaren F1 has better handling, its better looking, the 800TT is tuned car, and it's the God of all supercars.

    Top speed: 241.3+mph also that are rumors that the McLaren F1 was reported doing speeds of 249mph

    Also, the McLaren F1 has better handling, its better looking, the 800TT is a tuned car, the McLaren F1 has a better power to weight ratio than the 800TT, and last but not least the McLaren F1 is the God of all supercars.

    McLaren F1 - 4.0 lbs. per each hp. The weight of a McLaren is 2513 lbs.! not 2840?! that's the weight of a Saleen S7 the McLaren F1 has 627 hp to 2513lbs

    800TT - weighing 3500 lbs. and having 800 hp not 833 it has a power to weight ratio is 4.4 lbs. even if it did have 833 hp its power to weight ratio is not greater than the McLaren F1's and i just edited this because its horsepower is 833 but does not have a greater power to weight ratio than the McLaren F1 and its 0-100 mph time is 5.9 sec.
     
  3. Its stupid to even compare the two of them in the first place.

    You have the fast N/A car still to this day which is the Mclaren F1 going up against a tunercar. Its a dumbcomparison the Viper has a Great chance of walking away from the F-1.

    We might as well throw in a few bikes while were at it!.

    833 bhp @ 5400 rpm (725bhp @ 5400 rpm, RW-HP)
    902 lb-ft Torque @ 4800 rpm

    Max RPM/Redline @ 6000 rpm


    Weight as Tested: 3452-lbs.




    This equals; Power to weight Ratios of:


    800TT = 3452-lbs./833bhp = 4.1

    McLaren = YOUR STATS. = 2513lbs./627hp = 4.0

    Acceleration, braking, AND HANDLING. Those are the three most important factors when it comes to a car racing around a track.


    Ok, let’s look at all three.



    # 1. FIRST: Acceleration.



    When racing around a track, going from “a certain speed to another speed” is EXTREMELY important.

    This is what happens on a track; a car is coming out of a turn, for example coming out of a turn at 60mph or 100mph and accelerating:


    Ok, let’s look at track acceleration times for both:

    Here’s what the cars do:

    0-60:
    800tt: 3.2
    mclaren: 3.1

    0-100:
    800tt: 6.6
    mclaren: 5.9

    And

    1/4 mile trap speeds = 138 mph for Both, so:

    0-138:
    800tt: 10.7
    mclaren: 11.0

    Now, you get the cars track acceleration times, off of a corner:


    60-138:
    800tt: 7.5
    mclaren: 7.9

    100-138:
    800tt: 4.1
    mclaren: 5.1


    So, By these Facts/numbers, the 800TT can out accelerate the mclaren off of a corner at a track.

    The 800tt out-accelerates the mclaren from 60-138mph by almost a quarter of a second, and from 100-138 by A FULL SECOND.





    # 2. BRAKING:



    Braking: (MT)
    60-0 braking:
    800tt: 110ft
    mclaren: 127ft




    70-0 braking: (C&D)
    800tt: 143ft
    mclaren: 162ft


    Also,
    The cars do:
    0-100:
    800tt: 6.6
    mclaren: 5.9


    From: (Motor Trend/Road &Track articles)

    0-100-0:
    (MT) 800tt: 9.9
    (R&T mag.) mclaren: 11.1


    That means:

    100-0 braking:
    800tt: 3.3 seconds
    mclaren: 5.2 seconds



    The 800TT –hands down- out breaks the McLaren, when entering a corner on a track.

    The 800tt out-brakes the mclaren from 60mph by 17ft, 70mph by 19ft, & 100mph BY 1.9 (NEARLY) 2 SECONDS.




    FINALLY # 3. HANDLING:



    800TT:

    Skidpad: 1.06g
    Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft
    Slalom Speed: 75.1 mph



    Mclaren F1: (remember, YOUR STATS.)

    Skidpad: .86g (Ameritech)
    Braking, 60-0 mph: 127 ft
    Slalom Speed: 65.4 mph

    "The skid pad tells you not only the cars outer limits of handling, but also its controllability as those limits are reached."


    The 800tt has a highly tuned suspension (eibach springs, penske shocks, wilwood/brembo brakes)

    1997 MotorTrend Comparison:

    Skidpad 1-3:
    1. Dodge Viper GTS 1.01 g
    2. Ferrari F355 1.01 g
    3. Porsche 911 Turbo 1.00 g


    600-feet Slalom(mph) 1-3:
    1. Dodge Viper GTS 73.6
    2. Ferrari F355 72.1
    3. Porsche 911 Turbo 69.6


    Track Times 1-3:
    1. Dodge Viper GTS 39.4
    2. Ferarri F355 39.5
    3. Porsche 911 Turbo 40.2


    The cars with the most G’s, and slalom speed took top positions on the track (Viper GTS)

    In the June 2003 issue of MT.

    In their 10 car shoot-out, they do a test on the track, a figure eight-course layout.


    Quote Motor Trend: ( June, issue 2003)

    “The figure 8 track tests acceleration, braking and hard, long turns in both directions.”

    The test track being utilized features, 2 - 538.5ft straights’, and 2, 200ft 180 degree turns.

    Meaning the cars start accelerating down the first straight away, the top 4 cars got to 83mph-75mph, then going into the first turn, they braked from 83-75mph, pulled 1.15 - .9 Gs in the turns, and accelerated out of the turns.

    That is exactly what you do on a road course. (the title for the figure 8 test was “The figure eight: the world’s most telling little road course”)



    The mosler mt900 photon took 1st

    It acceled the fastest and pulled the most g's. acceled to 83.6mph, and did 1.14g

    Second the vipersrt10

    acceled to 79.3mph
    pulled 1.05g

    Third, lambo murcielago
    77.8mph
    .98g

    4th
    vette z06
    75.3mph
    .99g

    And so on.

    Each place you go down for a car, like from 5th to 6th the acceleration gets slower, or the cars didn't pull as many g's.

    The figure 8 track also tests acceleration, braking and hard, long turns in both directions.

    ****But in that comparison, (JUST LIKE THE ONE THEY DID IN 1997) the cars that pulled the most skidpad G’s, and had the highest slalom speeds, took top places on the track.***

    MEANING, SKIDPAD AND SLALOM TIMES CORRELATE PERFECTLY TO TRACK PERFORMANE. In these two comparisons with a total of 18 cars, the one’s with the most slalom and skidpad, WON.

    So, given all these FACTS, I'LL TYPE THAT AGAIN, FACTS:


    # 1. The 800tt out-accelerates the mclaren off the line and from one certain speed to another, coming out of a corner at a track.


    # 2. The 800tt out-brakes the mclaren from speeds at 60-100mph and at higher speeds, when braking into a corner.


    # 3. Last, comparisons show that cars with high slalom, and skidpad, get the best performance on the track.






    CONSIDERING ALL THE PERFORMANCE DATA, WHICH COMES FROM PROVEN TESTS DONE BY MOTORTREND, CAR AND DRIVER, ROAD & TRACK:


    The Hennessey Viper Venom 800TT, CAN considering the FACTS POSTED, BEAT A MCLAREN F1.

    (if you still think differently after reading this, then i beg that you re-read, THEN POST)

    you posted this AFTER i posted it's True history (Lamborghini prototype, exc....??


    Also, it may have "twin turbos", but they run @ a mild 6psi. Considering the engine is 8.0 Liters of displacement (meaning a ton of exhaust air through the turbos) and the turbos only run at 6psi, that's probably why MotorTrend reported (May 2001) "no hint of turbo lag"


    EDIT:

    If you want to say this has a twin turbo garbage truck engine, go right ahead.

    Because, that would mean that (considering my factual book of a post) a (YOUR WORDS) "twin turbo truck engine" can beat a McLaren F1.
