This vs Bugatti Veyron

Discussion in '2007 SSC Ultimate Aero TT' started by saleen88, Dec 16, 2006.

  1. Despite about what I said a while ago on the 16/4 Veyron, both are simply amazing vehicles, but I'd still say the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, just my own opinion.

No offence to all Bugatti 16/4 Veyron fans/enthusiasts.

  2. Dude,...My point exactly.<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

    Bravo!!

  3. Why, because he's stating facts over opinion, about how TUV and Guinness World Records was in attendance, to see what manufacturers are putting together for Top Speed testing at Ehra Lessien GVP-Volkswagen's Factory Proving Grounds???

OH...BTW..., that is the point about why Ferrari is so respected around the world, as well as, of course Bugatti. But that goes without saying, SSC (Shelby Super Cars) should also be respected now. Especially, since they've now got the Top Speed record all to themselves. Mind you as for a GT class or (Grand Tourer) vehicle, nothing comes remotely close to the Veyron 16/4, that's in its class, of course. Here's a little reminder for you, 252.95mph average top speed (Veyron's speed), versus 255.83mph average top speed (SSC Ultimate Aero TT's speed), which suggests you shouldn't sleep on this vehicle any time soon.

Hey, once upon a time Ferrari and Bugatti had to earn everybody's respect around the world, both had to since there inspetion back in the day, (i.e, Bugatti back in 1908, with their Type 10 Petit Pur-Sang, Ferrari in the 1950s, or hell even Duesenberg back in 1919, with their Model A anybody)???

So, like I've said in other posts, "don't JUDGE a book merely by its cover, without READING whats inside of it first, then and ONLY then shall you pass judgment." That statement holds true to this vehicle as well. "Don't JUDGE the vehicle merely by its looks, without DRIVING it first hand, then and ONLY then shall you pass judgment," stupid poseur.

  4. U...M...O.K......SURE, you mean the Barabus TKR, Aston Martin's Prototype (that's PROTOTYPE) One-77 and the Pagani Zonda named Cinque, sorry but that's not going to HAPPEN any time soon. Here's why:

1.) Everyone that's been on this site over a period of 3 years knows that Barabus always overestimates there figures on there vehicles. Usually are vastly wrong when the road tests are finished. Here's some of the projected numbers 1005bhp, 0-60mph in under 2.0sec. and estimated Top Speed 275mph. These were brought to us in 2006 and still yet to here of any road tests.

2.) As for Aston Martin's killer One-77, unfortunately hasn't gone into production as of yet. Plus its projected Top Speed is 225.0mph not exactly the same top end that the Aero TT has reached. Also its 0-60mph burst is just 3.5sec., again still slower than the Ultimate Aero TT.

3.) As for Pagani's last Zonda variant, the Cinque, will reach 217.0mph and have a 0-60mph of 3.4sec., with horsepower of 678bhp @ 6400rpms. Plus there's only going to be 5 produced, until its successor in a few years will be produced. Still, which means its again slower than the Ultimate Aero TT.

Oh...As to the McLaren MP4-12C (that's its name), it appears to be lined up in direct competition with Ferrari's F430 replacement, called the 458 Italia coming in spring or summer of 2010 (or this very year). Unfortunately in the McLaren's case won't be available until early 2011. Which will be powered by a 3.8L Twin Turbo V8, producing 600bhp, 442ft. lbs, 0-62mph 3.0sec. (est) and Top Speed 200+mph (est), not 250+mph. But in all honesty all of the above are truly fantastic machines, just WRONG car to compare them too, that's all.

  5. Well........would you compare the F40 to the 16/4 Veyron, or perhaps even the F50, FXX or FXX Evoluzione maybe even the S7 or S7TT, or maybe the Dauer 962GTLM, Porsche 911 GT1, or even the McLaren F1, against the 16/4 Veyron??? So, basically all I'm trying to say is, all those and this car are WRONG comparisons to the GT (or Grand Tourer), 16/4 Veyron.

OH........how would you know how this vehicle handles, or looks (i.e, in person) without DRIVING it first hand?!? That's like saying, Lindsay Lohan is hotter than Paris Hilton, in terms of looks and style! Oh...btw...the ONLY vehicles that REMOTELY come close to the Veyron are the; Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Oh...those vehicles DON'T even come close to the 16/4 Veyron in straight-line performance, (that is).

Now, what SHOULD BE compared to this is, the '90 Jaguar XJ220, '94 Dauer 962 LMGT, '95 McLaren F1, '95 Ferrari F50,' '03 Ferrari Enzo, '04 Saleen S7 (the 880bhp upgraded version), '05 Ferrari FXX, '06 Saleen S7TT Competition, '08 Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, '08 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, or maybe even the '08 Gumpert Apollo Sport, in terms of on-track performance, especially around Nordschliefe. Oh...the Apollo Sport did a 7:11.5sec. lap time around the 'ring.

Now......all this goes without saying I've got NO idea how this car drives, but I DO have an idea how it handles...well pretty close to how it would handle, around any circuits. Oh...no I haven't seen one in person, as well.

  6. SO......what you're saying basically is, maybe even cars similar to the Aero TT shouldn't even be in the same league as the Veyron?!? NOW I'm just goin' with what you're saying......OKAY......M.F.C??? Plus, I already know about the Bugatti's fu*kin' technology, craftsmanship and design are BY FAR better than the Ultimate Aero TT...hell...even the Enzo, FXX and FXX Evoluzione have better technology, craftsmanship and design as well. But...what if (keep in mind WHAT IF) there's a vehicle out there better at performing than SOME of its competition...HMMM??? OH......FYI......did you know that the 16/4 Veyron around Nordschliefe recorded a 7:40.50sec. time, so it appears to be a RELATIVELY easy time for the Ultimate Aero TT to beat, around the 'ring.

OH......as to the performance figures of both, the Aero TT still comes out on top of the Veyron. So like I've said, compare the 16/4 Veyron to...I...dunno...maybe the 599 GTB, Murcielago LP640 and the SLR McLaren against the Veyron......O...K...A...Y......M.F.C??? Simply because of how relatively evenly matched those machines are to the Veyron around Nordschliefe. Here's those Machines lap times around the 'ring:

    Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano: 7:47.50sec.
    Lamborghini Murcielago LP640: 7:40.30sec.
    Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren: 7:40.70sec.

Those times are according to Wikipedia.com. So.....with that said, maybe those should be compared to the 16/4 Veyron perhaps or perhaps not, I don't know....and don't REALLY care! Those are just my thoughts/opinions on the subject/topic at hand, mind you!

So with what your saying, that I'm goin' by is this...by SIMPLE logic that if in fact the Ultimate Aero TT can score approximately around 7:25.00sec.-7:10.00sec. time, shouldn't it be a better vehicle???

    ...the answer is, yes!

  7. WOW......thank you for that piece of "information"...on 0-60mph time...in which...yes the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron DOES a 2.46sec. time, while the SSC Ultimate Aero TT does a 2.78sec. time. So, it appears that there's only a .32sec. difference between them......sorry. While quarter mile times are; 10.2sec. @ 143mph for the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron, while the SSC Ultimate Aero TT's is 9.9sec. @ 144mph. Granted, there's only around .3 tenths of a second and only 1mph difference, between them...again......sorry.

UM......OK......"dude," so with what you're sayin' is that this vehicle shouldn't even exist AT ALL...RIGHT??? Yeah...ok...sure the company is quote, " the biggest ass of a car there ever was." Also, how DID they copy Koenigsegg's overall design/shape of the CC-line of cars??? If any company deserves the moniker of, just a "publicity stunt" is Barabus with there TKR (remember back in 2006, HUH?!?) So, its Top Speed of and I quote, "SSC announced they had broken the speed record for the world's fastest production car with 256.18 mph (412.28 km/h) in West Richland, WA on September 13, 2007. The reported record speed came from an average of two runs in opposite directions, in accordance with Guinness Book of World Records rules. The first run clocked 257.44 mph (414.31 km/h) and the return trip 254.91 mph (410.24 km/h). The results of this test, verified by Guinness World Records on October 9, 2007, gave the SSC Ultimate Aero the title of world's fastest production car, with a top speed of 256.18 mph (412.28 km/h).[19] This beat the previous record holder, the Bugatti Veyron, that has a top speed of 253.81 mph (408.47 km/h)." OH...that's quoted from this area of wikipedia.com, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSC_Ultimate_Aero_TT , so how's that exactly a "publicity stunt" HMM??? Plus, there's going to be 25 produced, most likely be an annual thing, of producing 25 a year...again...How is that a f*cking "publicity stunt"...HUH?!?

OH...if anything its shape looks reminiscent of the fabled Lamborghini Diablo...so here are comparison photos of both of'em.

    Dick.

  9. WWWOOWWW...so what your sayin' is that, even the '94 Dauer 962 LM, '96 Porsche 911 GT1, '95 McLaren F1, '98 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Strasenversion and Saleen S7 & S7 TT are "crap" compared to the 16/4 Veyron, as well??? All I'm sayin' is don't "sleep" on something...unless you have first-hand experience drivin' or havin' seat time in the vehicles. Because, nobody likes diabolical, gutless "flip-flopping," one-brand loyalists. Because you MISS out on great vehicles, that once upon a time couldn't even be fathomably thought possible...say back in 1950, or even 1985, (even though back in 1939 Daimler-Benz with there T80 did a Top Speed of 393.71mph...OH, that's on practically bicycle width tires)!

  10. NO

    Donkey d*ck.

  11. I think the Veyron is better
