  1. Why such a small engine, it looks to fast for it to have a small engine.<!-- Signature -->

why is BMW going diesel, first the Z9 now this car?<!-- Signature -->

  5. Re: Under Powered!

Why don't they give it a M5 V8 tuned to match the scream lean looks?<!-- Signature -->

  6. Re: Under Powered!

Chill out guys. If anything that even closely resmbles this thing comes into production, it'll get more power. And I can guarantee you if a USA version is released, it won't be powered by diesel. Great concept, but remember, at this point that's all it is.<!-- Signature -->

Yes it is just a concept it's out there to get the publics opinion personally as long as you know how to drive and with minor tuning this car could out preform a Corvette so who really cares as long as they aren't overly serious and you don't hold stocks in BMW (Which you probly don't so shut up B4 you say any thing) O yes it's also a concept car I mean it's probly light weight and if that is true than this puppy will bark like a big dog<!-- Signature -->

185bhp out of a 3 liter diesel engine is pretty standard, however look at that whopping 332 ft-lbs of torque. You could just leave it at 5th gear and have no problems of it bogging down at lower speeds <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"> I don't think BMW intended this to be a sports coupe, hence being put as an X series. It's more suited as a touring car, with the diesel's simple design it will probably last a lifetime if routine maintenance is kept up. I would definetely be in the market to buy one of these in the far future if they come in the states and are priced reasonably.

I hate to be different, but I love this car! I would prolly take one over the elise, that's just because I like BMW, but still that's alot to say. Anyone else who feels the same way?<!-- Signature -->

    nice looking car, slow speed

  16. Re: Under Powered!

1st the engine of the 530D develops 193hp
2nd the 530D weights 1700 kg and can go at 230kmh , so this car goes much faster than the stupid 201kmh said on this site , simply because the 150hp 320D goes at 208kmh.

  17. Re: Under Powered!

    remember it's still a concept.
if it's gonna be produced they'll probably add more power and not only diesel engines.
