Villeneuve dreams of F1 return

  1. Former World Champion Jacques Villeneuve says he still dreams of someday returning to Formula One racing.

Villeneuve, who finished second in the Le Mans race this past weekend, said goodbye to Formula One in 2006 after having enjoyed spells behind the wheel for Williams, BAR, Renault, Sauber and BMW Sauber.

According to the Canadian, the main reason he has not yet made a comeback is the lack of vacant race seats.

"I'm open to the idea, certainly with the new technical situation," he told Autosprint.

"To be honest, I have no idea if it would be possible. I have never given up hope to re-enter F1. I have driven in some other series, but that was only because there were no vacant seats in F1.

"If the opportunity would occur, certainly with the new regulations, I would love to get back to work."

It would be great if he made a successful return, but in reality it/he would suck.

  7. also, isnt he a little old to be returning to F1?

  8. He has a new dream every year...

  9. He should stop just dipping his feet in the water and go full-time into sportscar racing. NASCAR is not for him, I think half the reason he wants to be there is for the money anyway.

  10. is there anyone who really wants hgim back in F1?

  11. So someone asked him if he would go back to F1 given the opportunity. Of course he's gonna say yes. If a reporter came up to me and said "hey, would you drive in F1 given the chance?" I'd be like "Hell yeah". But come on, he knows it'll never happen.

  12. I would welcome him back AJ. He was one of my favourite drivers.

  15. Much like his father, I just don't understand what makes Jacques so great.
