Voting contest 16

  1. Right... I got it right in my first post atleast. I think I'm going to take it to Best Buy tomorrow. They should be able to give me a new one since it'd just be a straight swap.
  2. I haven't seen it yes but I've heard nothing but good things about it, well I know it's a classic.
  3. I actually haven't either. Well, I've seen the first 95 minutes of it. It sucks because like I said, I've had it since Christmas, have been putting off watching for all this time and then it just stops working. Oh well.
  4. Ha, you'll face tough competition from me!

I was missing in #16, but I've been participating in these for a while now, so just watch out for me... Haha. It'll be fun with some more competition. If my memory's not all jumbled up you made a "BMW CSL Turbo GTR" for a previous competition, which happens to be one of my favourite car photoshops.
  5. He's done some other amazing stuff in the past too

My favorite contest is still the one with the Z8, lots of contestants and some great results.
  6. I didn't participate in that <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
  7. I made this back then
  8. That's very very nice, except for the missing hardtop bits and pieces <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>

    911 Targa + Z8? Didn't know they'd work that well together.
  9. true, and yeah it could've been better but there were way more original/better executed works in that contest.

Mine from that contest is actually on my site:

As are a couple from other previous contests:

From the original PS contest (ran by nRo):

I'm pretty sure this one was for an UltimateCarPage contest:

The Caliber is still one of my favorites. Looking back at some of them, it's obvious to me that I've improved. I expect the one I'm currently working on to be one of my best (and isn't that how it should be?).

Others I've done can be seen here:

EDIT: I think the Z8 may be the only one I've entered and not won. Which I find odd as it's one of my favorites. Subtlety doesn't seem to work to well alot of times. Which is a shame because I think that's some of the best work and the image I'm currently working on has alot of subtle changes thus far.

Damn, those are awesome. You only did that to make me lose self-respect, didn't you...

And yeah, subtlety is great, but sometimes a more visual approach is better. I love intricate detailing and when it's well done, it usually decides which photoshop would get my vote.

My changes so far aren't really all that subtle, but I'm pretty happy with it. I'll probably work on it quite a bit more before I send it though.
  12. Hm, looking back those photoshops... maybe we should start a Photoshop winner gallery or something?
There's already a bunch of those great images.
Getting them all in one place could work...and make it easier to see how people have improved their skills.
  13. I've been wanting to make a gallery for each photoshop contest for a while.

    maybe I should do it
  14. Do it! Then make a sticky thread which links to the gallery.

  16. Cool stuff. Too bad you don't have any of the older contests.
  17. I know, I really wanted to include all of them but the content of the older threads got deleted <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

My older stuff is on here:

I can definately say I have improved too, the stuff on there is from older contests mostly and just random stuff. My new shops in the latest contests have been much better quality wise.
