Who here lifts weights?

  5. BTW My deadlift is now 385 and my shrugs is 425.

    and I dont care about losing weight, my goal is strength gaining, which is uncommon nowadays. evceryone just wants to be lean and look good.
  6. You're right, nobody lifts weights to build muscles.

    Squat 315lb
    Deadlift 250lb

    Pretty meh compared to everyone else but I only weight about 155lb-160lb and seriously started lifting weights about 2-3 months ago and I maxed my bench at 160lb. when I first started.
  8. They dont do it primarily for strength, they are too self concious about good looks than they care for strength gaining.
  9. Thats good improvements for only 3 months. but you do grow your most the first 3 months.
  10. I've doing serious lifting for about 2 months now. Don't do barbell press, cause its worthless! (No seriously, it is)

    Can do dumbbell press with 80 lbs in each hand. Deadlift 240. I'm a little peeved about squats, because for some reason I can't get past 205. I've been at 205 pretty much since I've started. It might have something to do with my height (6'4").

    They were freeweights, yes.

    and i couldnt really do leg press because my muscles could lift more than my knees could take (150lb middle linebacker/fullback=ruined body)

    that being said, i cant lift half that shit now. it was a few years ago when i actually worked out.
  16. I do a shit-ton of running anyway so I'm kept pretty balanced.
