Why is the turbo heavier than the NAs?

  1. Porsche didn't just add a turbo and change the name. The changes included major engine components (more than 30, I believe) to fight the increased load and heat. Chassis components for higher performance, body components for wind resistance and aerodnamics, and of course the turbo and its water cooling systems.
