2006 Connaught Type-D GT Syracuse Edition

The Connaught Type-D GT is a hand-crafted 2+2 sports coupe that offers performance and a well balanced ride. Connaught made history in 1955 when it became the first post-war British car with British driver Tony Brooks to win a Grand Prix. Connaughtwas revived in 2002 by experts with a proven track record of bringing automotive products to the world markets. They are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Syracuse victory with the introduction of the high performance Type-D Syracuse Edition.

This hand-built GT is a tribute to the legacy of Connaught and will be built with production limited to 100 vehicles.

At the heart of every great sports car is a great engine; and in the case of the Connaught GT, this has never been more true. Designed and built by Connaught, the supercharged 2.0 litre V10 engine delivers 300bhp, which provides the GT with a better power-to-weight ratio then most vehicles in its class and delivers a maximum speed of 170mph (273km/h).

The Type-D is buily on a lightweight, composite and stainless steel structure with aluminium body panels. The front-mid engine layout, light-weight technology and a low centre of gravity ensures a good weight distribution, agility and balance.

Refined yet practical, the Connaught GT Syracuse comes with personalised leather and aluminium interior, air conditioning with climate control and ISOfix child restraint system. Available in 2006, orders now being taken
