With their competition package, Saleen are now invited to join Lotec, SSC, Koenig, Bugatti and Hennessey in the excusive 1000 bhp club. They've done so with their latest model, a slightly modified Twin Turbo S7 supercar that has been tweaked out to 1000 bhp!

Called the 'Competition', the new package benefits from nearly five years of Saleen racing and their experince with making these engines endure. The story began when a top client took his car back to Saleen after having difficulties with the engine. At that time, both parties agreed to take the adventurous move and crank up the turbo boost past the normal level. To further distinguish it, an FIA-spec wing was added to the rear and the competition script was added to the rear bumper.

So far, just one Competition model car has been made and it will likely remain a one-of for some time.
