A special class for one-off American Dream Cars of the 1960s will be among the highlights of next month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, scheduled for Sunday August 20 on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links on 17 Mie Drive in Pebble Beach, California. Also featured in special classes at this year’s concours will be the Isotta-Fraschini marque, cars with Castagna Coachwork, Ferrari Major Race Winners and Ferrari One-Off Specials.
Among the “Dream Cars” expected to compete will be: the 1960 DiDia 150 built for singer Bobby Darin (above, photo courtesy of the Pebble Beach Concours); the 1963 Manta Ray constructed by Dean Jeffries; Gene Winfield’s Citroën-based 1964 concept car The Reactor; Alex Tremulis’ 1967 Gyro-X; and the 1969 Farago CF 428 Coupe.
