The Bugatti Veyron marked a pivotal moment in automotive history, reviving the storied Bugatti brand under Volkswagen’s ownership and setting a new standard for performance. After acquiring Bugatti in 1998, VW positioned it as its ultimate luxury and performance marque. Initial concept cars featured a W-18 engine, but the final Veyron, named after racer Pierre Veyron, was equipped with an 8.0-liter W-16 engine producing 1,001 hp and 922 lb-ft of torque. It achieved 0–60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 253 mph, making it the fastest production car of its time.
Only 450 Veyrons were produced during 11 years of production, comprising 300 fixed-roof coupes, including 252 examples built to the original 16.4 production configuration. Notably, only 76 of these were delivered to the US. The 74th Bugatti Veyron completed, and the 22nd example delivered new to the United States.
The car offered here has enjoyed a life of limited use and meticulous maintenance. Finished in black with white accents, it features aluminum and carbon-fiber bodywork, exposed rear air intakes, a titanium grille, and conical wheels with Michelin PAX tires.
The interior has carbon-fiber bucket seats in beige leather, matching upholstery, and black carpeting. Alcantara covers the firewall, sills, and headliner. A machine-turned aluminum panel houses the gear selector, climate controls, Burmester audio, and a clock. Like the original Bugatti, the Veyron has earned its place as a timeless icon. This low-mileage example is currently offered for sale on Bring a Trailer and comes with original accessories.
