Power is provided by a mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged M840TR V8, a heavily reworked version of the 720S engine. Featuring aluminum construction, DOHC architecture, twin-scroll turbochargers, and dry-sump lubrication, the powerplant produces a factory-rated 789 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 590 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. A seven-speed dual-clutch SSG transaxle channels that output exclusively to the rear wheels. McLaren’s performance claims translate to a 0–60 mph time of approximately 2.8 seconds, a 9.9-second quarter-mile, and a top speed generally cited between 208 and 211 mph.
This example is finished in MSO Atlantic Blue metallic with McLaren Orange detailing across the front aerodynamic elements, rear spoiler graphics, and “P15-232” quarter-panel markings.
