Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, producing a staggering 1,050 hp and instant response with no turbo lag. On Michelin Cup 2 tires, the 849 feels light, razor-sharp, and highly communicative, delivering both understeer at the limit and controllable oversteer with throttle input. Brake-by-wire provides strong, precise stopping power, though it takes some acclimation.
Off the track, the road version remains engaging, with adaptive suspension, hybrid driving modes, and improved comfort, though the electric-only sound is less inspiring.
