VIDEO: Watch the Evo Roadster Blitz Monza in 1:46.79

A track-only machine withg a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 888hp

Driven by Christian Gebhardt for sport auto, the Evo Roadster lapped the Monza circuit in a blistering 1:46.79. The Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster is a track-only machine built with zero compromise. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 888 horsepower and revving past 9,000 rpm.

Dry weight is just 1,060 kg, while downforce rivals an LMP2 prototype. Although it looks like a Huayra, it shares almost nothing with it. The car sits on a bespoke carbon-fiber chassis that’s 38 percent stiffer than the Huayra R. Its longtail-inspired body stretches front and rear to dramatically expand the underfloor, generating 45 percent more downforce than the already extreme R.

Open roof panels actually improve aero efficiency, increasing vertical load by another five percent. Suspension uses double wishbones with electronically controlled dampers and a new heave damper to stabilize ride height. Massive Pirelli slicks and carbon-ceramic brakes deliver relentless grip and stopping power.
