Over 1,100 horsepower meets human-centered engineering
The Carmen Sagrera is the most advanced member of the Carmen family, delivering staggering performance figures that place it among the world’s elite electric hypercars. Its four electric motors produce an astonishing 1,115 horsepower (820 kW) and 1,160 Nm (856 lb-ft) of torque, launching the carbon-fiber machine from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds.
Despite those headline numbers, Hispano Suiza insists raw performance is only part of the story. Rather than creating a hypercar that relies on intrusive electronic intervention, engineers focused on making the Carmen Sagrera feel natural and predictable, allowing drivers to remain fully connected to the car.
Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics
Making that possible is Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD), the company’s proprietary vehicle control software that continuously manages stability, traction, power delivery, regenerative braking, and torque distribution.
Working in real time, HSDD analyzes hundreds of vehicle parameters to optimize performance under every driving condition. The system incorporates features such as Grip Enhancement System traction control, Active Yaw Modulation stability management, adaptive torque distribution, multiple driving modes, and an Electronic Torque Stabilizer that independently applies regenerative braking to each rear wheel for improved stability while maximizing driving range.
Advanced thermal management also keeps both the battery pack and electric motors operating within their ideal temperature window to deliver consistent performance.
Electronics that stay out of the way
What separates Hispano Suiza from many modern performance cars isn’t simply the sophistication of the software, it’s how discreetly it operates.
Rather than constantly intervening, HSDD has been calibrated through extensive simulator development, racetrack testing, and real-world road driving under the guidance of former Formula 1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala. The objective was simple: allow drivers to explore the car’s immense capabilities while maintaining confidence that the electronic systems will only step in when absolutely necessary.
“The technology should intensify driving pleasure, not replace it,” explains Juan Fernández, Chief Technical Officer at Hispano Suiza. “Every intervention has been calibrated to feel natural while remaining faithful to the character of the vehicle.”
Processing more than 200 million calculations every second
Behind the scenes, the Carmen Sagrera’s electronic architecture processes more than 200 million instructions every second.
The vehicle continuously monitors steering angle, throttle position, wheel speed, brake pressure, chassis yaw, suspension movement, three-axis acceleration, battery charge, voltage, current, ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, and even altitude.
Information from more than 100 sensors spread throughout the hypercar is constantly analyzed, allowing HSDD to adjust traction, regenerative braking, torque delivery, and overall vehicle dynamics almost instantaneously.
Because those adjustments occur before the driver even notices changing conditions, the result is a driving experience that feels remarkably fluid and natural rather than artificial.

Hispano Suiza describes the Carmen Sagrera as an electric hypercar built for the modern Gentleman Driver.
Instead of using software to isolate drivers from the car, Invisible Technology strengthens the connection between driver and machine. Even with more than 1,100 horsepower available at the slightest touch of the accelerator, the Carmen Sagrera aims to deliver confidence without sacrificing excitement.
