High–performance exhaust systems for the world’s most exclusive automobilesare a particularspecialty of NOVITEC. Preciseexhaust routing, innovativeskillfulsolutions, and materials aswell as outstanding build quality are at the very top of the developers’ specifications.This was ofcourse also true for the design of theNOVITECexhaustsystemfor the296 GTBhybridsportscar.
The exhaust systems for theV6are available made from stainless steel or from INCONEL, thehi–tech alloy also used in Formula 1 racing.To optimize the temperatures in the engine bay, allsystems are wrapped in high–temperature insulation.In connection with theINCONELversion,this effect can be further amplifiedwith 999 fine goldplating, whichmakes the exhaust look asspecial as it isbeside.
To further optimize the exhaustflow, the NOVITEC engineers additionally developed customturbo inlets and tailor–made 100–cell metal catalysts. All in all, the NOVITEC modifications to theexhaust side produce an increase in peak power by28 kW / 38hp.This is accompanied by a thrilling exhaust note,which the version with actively controlledbutterfly valves allowsthe driver in the cockpittoadjustindividually from anelectrifying,racyto a full–blooded racing sound.
Various tailpipes with a diameter of 102 millimeters are available to showcase theNOVITECexhaust system visually. Theycome with or without carbon embellishments and are optionallyavailable with particularly stylish 999 fine gold plating.NOVITEC also offers a mesh insert forthe perfect integration of the exhaust pipes into the rear end, whichin additionhelps todischarge more heated air from the engine bay.
While theNOVITECaerodynamic–enhancement range of naked carbon components is stillunder development, various hi–tech wheelsfor upgrading the looksare already available. Thesewheels were developedincooperationwithVossen,America’s leading manufacturer of cutting–edge forged wheels.The NOVITEC NF 10 wheels areproducedfrom hi–tech blanks using state–of–the–art machiningtechnology. They make perfect use of the available space under the wheel arches of the296GTB.For these photos, the variant painted high–gloss black with hub covers in a center lock lookwasselected from arangeof 72 colorsand various surface finishes.
The NF 10 alloys feature five delicate twin spokes extending all the way to the outermostedgeand are some of the lightest wheels of their kind in this king–sized range.The attached photosshow the two–seater fitted with a combinationof size9.5Jx21wheels at the front with255/30 ZR21tires andrims of size11.5Jx22with335/25 R 22tires on the rear axle.The differentdiameters on both axles place even greater emphasis on the wedgeshape of theFerrari.The NOVITEC sportssprings appropriately lower the vehicle’s ride height by 35 millimeters.This measure has a positive impact not only on the looks butalsoon the handlingthanks to thelowered center of mass.To make it easier to navigate entrances, exits, and ramps in parkinggarages, a NOVITEC front lift system is available for the296 GTBas well. Ithydraulicallyraises the nose of the vehicle by about 40 millimeters at the touch of a button.
