As a Mercedes AMG C63S owner I can tell you that I have a deep affection for the latest generation twin-turbo AMG V8.
With tons of horsepower, responsive turbos and a bellow that makes the hairs on my back tingle, it is the powerplant that shows turbocharging can be fun.
In this video the guys at Carfection take the same motor that sits in the Mercedes AMG C63S and sample it in two very different machines.
First is the batshit crazy Mercedes GT R which has won critical acclaim amongst car journos in recent tests. The other car is the “scare the kids on daily trips” Mercedes AMG E63 S, a saloon with over 600 hp, all wheel drive and very usable slidey mode.
