Re: Name a car you would rather have!!

  1. It doesn't say here, but the engine in this thing is American. If i'm going to get a supercar, I'm thinking 7L AMG v12 (in Zonda S), Lambo V12, etc...cars aren't worth the sum of the engine inside, but it is the heart of the machine. And a Ford doesn't cut it.

  2. McLaren F1 LM (short version, by the way have you noticed how similar they look to Corvette's?!).
One being the McLaren accelerate 0-60 quicker, goes 0-100-0 quicker, higher top speed, unique in having a central mounted driving position with passengers on either side, they're loud (scares away all the pussy cats), have that serious look like dont mess with me because YOU WILL LOSE

    Lotec Sirius
I'm not sure but I think performance stats are extremely close, looks even meaner than the McLaren. It looks like it could be McLaren's mean old grandfather that beats it with a cane :). Plus aside from looks... the Lotec Sirius has much more horsepower, and goes just as faster if not faster so.

But truely, I would want to have this car for the simple fact of its exclusivety (I dont think it will be as exclusive as McLaren, I think they only made 100 cars total, not sure), its mystiqe (everybody will think: What's that, and how much did it cost?), and prestige (I'm quite sure these have luxury to match performance).<!-- Signature -->

  3. Hmm, that's a tough one. Personally, I have a list of over 350 great cars, many classics from the beginning of time (early auto days), many more great exotic classics (one of my favorites, the 1961 Ferrari 250 GTO), and many modern day exotics, each capable of making your adreinal gland water. But yes, this one definately falls onto my list. Drats, this means I have yet another car I need to add to my future collection.<!-- Signature -->

  4. Hey Birdboy, ever heard of the Speed 12? TVR does have something of this calliber, little lower on the scale, but still some competition.<!-- Signature -->

  5. Porsche Carrera GT, even though its still a concept, its looks are much better than this.<!-- Signature -->

  6. <!-- QUOTE --><center><hr width="90%"></center><blockquote><i>Quote from ichthus</i>
<b>It's nice to know that everyone can name supercars...but can anyone back up there choices with some decent support? Name a factory (or cottage industry) built car with this much performance and standard equipment for a price this low. The only production car that could even offer the performance equivelant is the McLaren F1. Reliability cannot be yet determined, but should easily top that of the Hennesey Vipers. The 16/4 Veyron is not yet in production and will, indeed, be a superior car in all respects but will also cost twice as much. </b></blockquote><center><hr width="90%"></center><!-- END QUOTE -->

Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about. People keep listing cars that will simply lose to the CC. Murcielago's acceleration time (0-60) is 3.6 seconds at best, The F1 has similar acceleration to the CC (a direct competitor for over 3 times the price), the 800 TT is not a production vehicle and it's not stock (thus taking it out of the runnings), the F50 has 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds. And I'm not even going to mention the stats of the other cars stats because they don't stand a chance at winning performance wise. Out of everything listed, the only noteworthy competitors are the Veyron (2.5 X the price of a CC) and the F1 (over 3X the price of a CC). The Veyron has not been tested yet but it's acceleration prediction anywhere from 3.0 seconds-3.3 seconds. The CC does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 390 km/hour on paper. In a couple of months it will take the world by storm when it is tested for official track times. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"> I personally think that the CC has the best design ever. And it is best bang for your buck with a $300,000 price tag! <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"> <!-- Signature -->

  7. Mclaren F1 & and maybe maybe the Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster Millinium<!-- Signature -->

  8. to me the performances dont matter at this level, tehre all DAMN FAST. I think its safe to say that the 0-60 times of the Carrera GT will be very close if not better then the CC, but obviously the top speed wont be as fast but still faster then i will ever go, the handling on this car is amazing i think it said 1.15G"S!! thats crazy, but still the GT is good enough for me its ONLY a good 1.05+, but as for looks style and overall impressions i would take the carrera it just looks like the car that i would need to content my speed urges.<!-- Signature -->

  9. Are you kidding me??? This car looks nothing like the 360; it's the most aesthically unique and beautiful car that I have ever seen!!! If you look back to the 2000 CC, you'll notice how uniqe it is, especially the headlights. This 2002 CC is a follow design that improves on its predecessor. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

  10. Personally, I would rather have the Porsche Carrera GT. Then again, a Zonda or a TVR would be nice too.....<!-- Signature -->

  11. The Dauer which was mentioned is faster, i'd take that. McClaren (I've seen pictures online of a McClaren convertible, but I think it's just someone who edited the car in photoshop or something. anybody know?), porsche gt2 and carrera gt1, cerbera speed 12 but only if it came witht that badass spoiler, dunno about that renault espace (i dont think it counts but i just cant get enough), the shelby from gone in sixty, veyron, and my mercury villager...
    well, except for the villager

  12. Name a car I would rather have....
Believe me, this is a beautiful car. I still see the design cues from the original concept in '98, but I believe that that car came before the F360, which I see somewhat of a resemblence to.
As far as performance values, this car can be compared to that of the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron, Dauer 962LM, the TVR Speed 12 as well as it's older brother, the 2000 Koenigsegg CC, with a top speed of 243.0 mph.
While I still have more than enough cars that I want, this one will be on that list. It's top speed still doesn't exceed the Sledgehammer Corvette, which can be closely compared to the Koenigsegg CC's price. I wouldn't compare this car to the McLaren F1 as far as price (You know, the McLaren F1 is $1,250,000.00, $1,000,000.00 for the car and the $250,000.00 for (required) refurbishing), but the performance is quite similar to it.
Sorry Viper fans, but this car could out-handle a Viper anyday. Quit wasting your time with this one. Besides, I don't see any Vipers able to outdo this car as far as top speed is concerned.

The CC will slaughter the Viper in acceleration, top speed, and handling. It's skidpad is amazing at 1.15!!! Oh and top speed doesn't really matter as the CC will outhandle and out-accelerate a sledgehammer. The sledgehammer is sweet though; too bad it didn't go into production. :(<!-- Signature -->

id still take a tvr speed 12 over this, but thats my personal taste. the headlights on that tvr speed 12 will never be seen again. they are like.. the eyes of a viper (THE SNAKE NOT THE CAR). theyre vicious. and if you havent seen the speed 12, this is what it looked like... http://www.pistonheads.com/tvr/speed12.htm

and the top speed 325 kph... that is limited on the speed 12 cause they were aiming to put it on the british gtr circuit. if the air restrictors etc were taken out oh my god this car would be even more vicious than it already is.

  15. the tvr speed 12 also weighs in at only 990 kg!!!!!!!

Sweet car!!! Too bad it didn't go into production. It has an awesome acceleration time (0-60 in 2.9 seconds WOW). I didn't even know it could go that fast.<!-- Signature -->

  17. I wouldnt take too much over this...except the 16/4 veyron, the mclaren f1 and mayb the carrera GT. and the speed 12 if it were in production.

but this is still an awesome car!<!-- Signature -->

  18. for the price this car is awesome, i mean it's awesome even if it costed an outrageous amount, i mean it's hell fast, sure there are faster eg Speed12, but hey the styling of this car is beautiful, differend, cockpit like views. this car is sweet and i would personally take this over a speed12, not because of performance but on the basis of styling, in my personal opinion this cars styling is great, sorry to speed 12 fans but i find it a bit too bulky , don't get me wrong it's a wicked car n all, but hey if youv'e been under 5sec anything,,,under 4 will be mad!!!!>>>awesome car

  19. The only car on my list above this car would be the Porsche GT1 Strasseversion. I have always and will always love that car. However, since I'm not gonna be a multimillionaire any time soon, I will save my money in hopes to own one of these beautiful machines some day. Taking money into consideration, after that it would be the TVR Tuscan, then the Corvette Z06. That's my goal in life, to own all of these cars, not nessicarily all together, but at one time or another. It's a good thing I'm still young and haven't screwed my life up yet, this car is my motivation not to.<!-- Signature -->

  20. Damn this is one sweet machine! This car would have to rank it with the tops like F-50, 12 Speed (seems like everyones talking about them), Carrera GT, McLaren F1, Murciegalego(did i spell it right)and the Dodge Viper GTSR 2 (i reccomend you check this car out)

I seriously think this car rulz, maybe just as much as the Carrera GT, and while not as legendary as the McLaren or the 12 speed it looks so deadly!<!-- Signature -->

  21. I'd rather get the Murcielago. Maybe not the same perf but a design way way better and exclusive.<!-- Signature -->

  22. 2002 Corvette ZO6

  23. Bugatti Veyron 16/4

  24. I sincerly beleive this is more exclusive than a Lambo or Ferrari. It would hand any Lambo its ass. Most people have not even heard of Koenigsegg. Every little kid likes Lambos. I was mystified by the Diablo when I first saw a pic of one as a little kid. It is what peole think of when they think of a ultra-exotic, which kinda defeats the purpose. This is more exotic than most of its competition. Not to mention the fact that it is at least as beutiful as the '12, the F1, or the GT1, 2, or 3. The F50 can not compete with this in the looks dept if you ask me.
And the more I think about it, no way this is a bored Cobra engine. It would be cheaper I'm sure to make a purpose built blown quad cam engine then developing one from another block intended for DOHC.<!-- Signature -->
