Posted 11 million GBP in total sales with a strong 87% at the third-annual 'Automobiles of London' event. The star attraction was a historic 1950 Aston Martin DB2 Team Car 'VMF 64' with Le Mans and Mille Miglia provenance, offered for the first time in 52 years and selling for 550,000GBP to set a new world record for an Aston Martin DB2 sold at auction. The top seller of the night was a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster, the only right-hand drive example built, for 616,000GBP. Sixteen blocks of downtown Carmel were closed for the show and focused on Porsche to coincide with the Monterey Historic Races feature. Featured the annual special diplay with ''largest concentration of the Rarest & Fastest Corvettes in history.'' 2009 FIAGT Oschersleben 10th Anniversary 260 Images, 4 Pages Last weekend's FIA GT races marked the tenth anniversary of Motorsport Arena Oschersleben's championship rounds. The main race, was decided on the first turn. PK Carsport's Corvette of Mike Hezemans and Anthony Kumpen took advantage of an incident at the start of the race and led almost the entire duration. Also included were two rounds of the impressive GT3 races. 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans 148 Images, 4 Pages Held over June 13th and 14, the 2009 24 Hours of LeMans was won by David Brabham, Marc Gene, Alex Wurtz in a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. They beat the long-time dominant Audi team which was using their largely untested R15 due to lack of the Le Mans test days. It was also Corvette's very last event as run by the factory in GT1 and probably the last time we will see GT1 cars at Le Mans. Essex Porsche steamrolled the LMP2 class, but lost to a Ferrari 1-2-3 in GT2. 2009 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance 546 Images, 6 Pages Held June 6th and 7th at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT. Best of Show on day one was reserved for American Cars and went to Margie & Jospeh Cassini with an Auburn 12-161A Boattail Speedster while day 2 was won by Ed and Carroll Windefelder's Delahye 135M Figoni et Falaschi 3-Position Cabriolet. 2009 Nurburgring 24h Race 488 Images, 8 Pages Porsche has won the Nürburgring 24 hour race for the fourth time in a row. Timo Bernhard (Germany), Marc Lieb (Germany), Romain Dumas (France) and Marcel Tiemann (Monaco) crossed the finish line in the 480 hp Porsche 911 GT3 RSR of the Manthey Racing team with a one lap advantage over the second-placed Audi R8. The sister Manthey Porsche, the 445 hp 911 GT3 Cup S manned by Richard Lietz (Austria), Wolf Henzler (Germany), Emmanuel Collard (France) and Dirk Werner (Germany), occupied third position.
