As highlighted in this month’s Racecar Profile (pg. 20), the Porsche 914-6 competed at both the professional and amateur levels during its short life from 1970-1972. Porsche built just over 50 special GTs to compete on the world stage. This month’s Web site is devoted to the history and authenticity of these special cars.
Some of the special features of this site include special sections devoted to the homologated improvements that make the GT unique. Sections devoted to body modifications, interior, oil cooling, fuel tank, brakes and engine specifications include both detailed descriptions and color photos.
Additionally, this nicely done site also includes eight pages of historical racing photos, as well as tables chronicling race results and original serial numbers and build specifications.
