Revuelto Outpaces McLaren 765LT on the Strip

The Lamborghini’s power advantage proved decisive in the matchup

CarExpert on YouTube set up a drag race between the Lamborghini Revuelto and the McLaren 765LT.

The Revuelto, Lamborghini’s replacement for the Aventador, pairs a naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors—two up front and one at the rear—for a total of 1,001 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch Graziano transmission. Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid supercar, it sprints from 0–62 mph in 2.5 seconds and tops out at over 217 mph.

The McLaren 765LT is powered by a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 4.0L M840T V8 engine, enhanced with a titanium quad exhaust, an upgraded fuel pump, forged pistons, and a three-layer head gasket from the Senna. It produces 755 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch SSG transmission. Performance figures include 0–60 mph in 2.7 seconds and a 205 mph top speed.

Raced on an unprepped surface, traction was limited. The Revuelto’s all-wheel drive allowed perfect launches, while the McLaren spun its wheels. Even in rolling starts, the Lamborghini’s power advantage proved decisive, consistently leaving the 765LT behind.
