Now listed on Bring a Trailer, this 2021 Lamborghini Aventador LP770-4 SVJ Roadster represents the ultimate evolution of Lamborghini’s Aventador-era V-12 formula. Produced between 2019 and 2021 in a limited run of approximately 800 roadsters, the SVJ—short for Super Veloce Jota—combined extreme power, sophisticated aerodynamics, and aggressive weight reduction to create one of the most focused open-top supercars of its generation.
This example was originally delivered to Newport Beach Automotive Group in Costa Mesa, California, and is finished in Blu Nethuns over a Nero Cosmus and Giallo Taurus leather and Alcantara interior. Its specification includes forged 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Leirion wheels, yellow-painted multi-piston brake calipers, magnetic push-rod suspension, heated power-adjustable seats, carbon-fiber trim, and a Sensonum premium audio system.
At its heart is Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12, producing 759 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm. Titanium intake valves, revised cylinder heads, and other engine refinements helped extract an additional 20 hp over the Aventador SV. Power reaches all four wheels through a seven-speed ISR automated manual transmission, supported by a Haldex all-wheel-drive system and limited-slip rear differential.
The SVJ’s performance is equally dependent on its aerodynamic package. Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva 2.0 system actively manages airflow through electronically controlled channels, balancing downforce and drag according to driving conditions. Compared with the SV, the SVJ generates approximately 40 percent more downforce while reducing drag by about 1 percent. Rear-wheel steering further enhances high-speed stability while making the large V-12 machine more responsive through tighter corners.
The roadster incorporates lightweight components throughout, including a lighter exhaust system, carbon-fiber structural elements, and removable carbon-fiber roof panels. The engine cover even uses quick-release fasteners instead of conventional hinges. With a dry weight of approximately 3,362 pounds, the SVJ Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in roughly 2.8 seconds and reach a claimed 217 mph. Carbon-ceramic brakes provide formidable stopping power, bringing the car from 62 mph to rest in less than 98 feet.
Inside, an Alcantara-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a TFT digital instrument cluster with a variable-redline tachometer and dedicated oil-temperature and oil-pressure displays. Factory options include a carbon-fiber X-brace and T-engine cover, plus a transparent engine-bay cover.
As the final, naturally aspirated flagship expression of the Aventador lineage, the SVJ Roadster delivers an unusually uncompromising combination of open-air drama, motorsport-inspired aerodynamics, and Lamborghini’s unmistakable high-revving V-12 character.
