Louis Vuitton and California-based Porsche specialist Singer have joined forces to create two highly personalized Porsche 911s inspired by the House’s Art of Travel philosophy. The collaboration produced two distinct cars. The Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer, Classic is a saffron-and-cobalt-blue coupé accented with yellow details, while the Classic Turbo is a cabriolet conceived by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, featuring Calcaire Lutétien white paint, gold accents, leather and extensive wood trim.
The project began with a bespoke Louis Vuitton Tambour dashboard clock, developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. The idea quickly expanded into a complete reimagining of the cars’ interiors, with Singer and Louis Vuitton redesigning everything from the instrument clusters and controls to the leatherwork, metal finishes and luggage. The Classic coupé draws heavily on Louis Vuitton’s travel heritage. Its saffron and cobalt palette references the House’s historic luggage, while a bespoke roof rack carries equipment such as a trunk, surfboard or skis. Inside, natural leather, yellow stitching and diamond-patterned embossing echo Louis Vuitton’s traditional trunk craftsmanship. Even the metal controls and engine components receive watchmaking-inspired finishing.
The Classic Turbo takes a more nautical approach. Designed with Nicolas Ghesquière, the open-top 911 combines white bodywork with natural leather, gold details and extensive woodwork inspired by classic motorboats. A wooden rear deck, bespoke luggage compartment and nautical-style soft top reinforce its open-air, travel-focused character. Both cars are accompanied by extensive Louis Vuitton travel collections, including bespoke luggage, driving apparel, helmets, footwear, gloves and accessories designed specifically to complement each vehicle.
The partnership also marks a first for both companies, bringing together Louis Vuitton’s expertise in leather goods, trunkmaking and watchmaking with Singer’s engineering and craftsmanship. The result preserves the analogue character and driving experience of the Porsche 911 while introducing an unprecedented level of bespoke detailing.
