1991 Koenig-Specials C62

One of the more notorious tuners is Koenig Specials. As the focus of the company has been to offer body parts, and conversion-kits, Koenig has made some truly outrageous show cars. It is hard to decide which is their most radical, because among the top cars is a Twin Turbo Ferrari F50, a 1000 horsepower Ferrari Testarossa or and a road going version of Porsche’s 962 prototype racecar. In any case, these products aren’t for the faint, nor people interested in originality, instead race-bred performance.

Koenig’s C62 is a conversion based on original Porsche 962 chassis. To attain the necessary ground clearance and headlight position, and entirely new carbon fibre body was constructed. Koenig punched out the three liter version of the boxer engine to produce more low end toque. Other engine modifications included softer cams and a Bosch Mototronic system.
