Rare One-Owner Ferrari 812 Competizione Expected to Fetch Up to $1.75 Million

One of 999 coupés produced

The Ferrari 812 Competizione is one of the most exclusive and technically advanced front-engined V12 grand tourers ever produced by the marque. Introduced in 2021 as the spiritual successor to the revered Ferrari 599 GTO and F12tdf, the model continued Maranello’s tradition of creating track-focused, limited-production variants of its flagship V12 grand touring platform. Now, a highly specified 2023 example is set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee Auction on July 4, carrying an estimated value of up to $1.75 million.

Limited to just 999 coupés worldwide, the 812 Competizione represented a comprehensive evolution of the standard 812 Superfast. Ferrari engineers sharpened the car’s dynamic capabilities through a combination of weight reduction, enhanced aerodynamics, and a recalibrated seven-speed dual-clutch transmission capable of delivering even faster gear changes. Overall mass was reduced by approximately 38 kilograms, while aerodynamic refinements significantly increased downforce and high-speed stability.

At the heart of the car lies Ferrari’s celebrated 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, an engine extensively re-engineered for the Competizione. Featuring titanium connecting rods, a lighter crankshaft, revised pistons, and upgraded camshaft technology, the powerplant gained a remarkable 600-rpm increase in maximum engine speed. The result was a stratospheric 9,500-rpm redline—the highest ever achieved by a Ferrari internal-combustion production engine. Producing 819 horsepower it also held the distinction of being Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated engine at launch.

The example headed to auction was commissioned by its sole registered owner through Ferrari’s extensive Personalisation Programme. It is finished in the historic special-order color Canna Di Fucile, a sophisticated gunmetal-inspired shade accented by a full-length Giallo Fly racing stripe bordered in Nero. Additional exterior highlights include Scuderia Ferrari shields, extensive carbon-fiber aerodynamic components, forged 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli Colour Edition tires, carbon-ceramic brakes, a front-axle lift system, and a full suite of parking assistance technologies.

Inside, the cabin showcases a carefully curated blend of Charcoal and Tortora Alcantara, complemented by large carbon-fiber racing seats and numerous exposed carbon-fiber trim elements throughout the cockpit. Premium features include adaptive headlights, a JBL Hi-Fi Premium Sound System, and Ferrari’s signature LED shift-light steering wheel.

Delivered through Francorchamps Motors Luxembourg in November 2022, the car has remained in the hands of a prominent Ferrari collector and has accumulated just 1,587 kilometers from new. Supported by three documented service visits and covered by Ferrari’s Genuine Maintenance Programme through November 2029, this exceptionally low-mileage 812 Competizione represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest modern naturally aspirated Ferraris ever built.
