The second-generation Ford GT represents Ford’s motorsport engineering in a road-legal package, combining advanced aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and twin-turbocharged performance. Now offered on Bring a Trailer, this 2022 example stands out for its Liquid Carbon finish, exceptionally low mileage, and substantial factory specification.
Showing just 17 miles, the car is one of only 30 examples specified with the Liquid Carbon exterior. Rather than concealing the carbon-fiber bodywork beneath conventional paint, this finish leaves the composite structure visible under a clear coat, emphasizing the material that defines the GT’s lightweight construction.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 equipped with twin turbochargers. Factory-rated at 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, the engine sends power to the rear wheels through a Getrag seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle. An Akrapovič titanium exhaust system was fitted from the factory, complementing the engine’s performance-focused engineering.
The GT’s structural foundation consists of a carbon-fiber monocoque connected to front and rear aluminum subframes. Its hydraulically adjustable pushrod suspension incorporates variable ride height, while selectable driving modes and launch control allow the car to adapt to different driving conditions. Aerodynamic features include a retractable active rear wing, front and rear carbon-fiber aero panels, and a rear diffuser. Butterfly doors, LED lighting, and a lightweight Gorilla Glass windshield further distinguish the model’s design.
The cabin is specified with the Dark Energy interior package, featuring black Alcantara upholstery, Sparco seats with carbon-fiber shells, and exposed carbon-fiber door trim. The fixed-position driver’s seat is complemented by an adjustable pedal box and steering column, allowing the driving position to be tailored to the occupant. Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, six-point harness anchors, and a configurable digital instrument display integrated into the Alcantara-wrapped multifunction steering wheel.
The car rides on staggered 20-inch gloss carbon-fiber wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes provide stopping power, with six-piston front calipers acting on 15.5-inch discs and four-piston rear calipers paired with 14.1-inch discs. Silver-finished calipers complete the specification.
With only 17 miles recorded, this 2022 Ford GT combines distinctive exposed carbon-fiber styling, extensive factory equipment, and a largely unused presentation. Its limited Liquid Carbon specification and original $789,100 sticker position it as a particularly notable example of Ford’s modern supercar.
