    Personally I'm going to argue that the Saleen S7 is on top of the American car ladder, and a BMW isn't to much, it all depend on what model, A saleen mustang eh? Supercharging a Stang don't make it a Saleen, the engine from a Saleen is much better than a Supercharged 5.0L mustang engine, the only thing that they have incommon is the basic engine idea, I'm not saying that you didn't add the basic Saleen engine it just seems highly unlikely to me, some more things from other people that I found ignorant is that an NA 300ZX is around the same price range as a stang people bought stangs because they liked em more, people blast other cars because they think that they are smart but want to show off their ignorance about cars, people loose races because they can't drive, or it's a dumb ass racing in a sraight line, if you don't have skills stay out of the corners, I'm also wondering why people what to prove that they are ignorance by blasting cars?     Id like to go on record for saying that I had a 1998 323IS with Dynan ECU upgrade and pop charger my insurance was cheaper than my Z.
    I So agree that teh S7 Saleen is Americas best production upcoming and on the rise but that price is steep at 400k.
    Now as for price if you uses the NADA as any bank or finanace company does you will see that the Z is more expensive. 2) the sales of the Z dropped drastically making it scare AKA valuable/collectable look at this link which was copied from an old Courtesy Nissan White Page. Particually look at the entry for 1996 as it states the number of 300's sold in 94/95.

    vs the Stang which will not be a collectors item for long time to come. the biggest thing for ford is that its sprot car be all GMs car in sales every year since the new style stang was intoduced so now GM is discontinuing them the TA/Camero/Firbird etc etc GONE!! Cause ford balanced their car better although they put no space in the driver area.<!-- Signature -->
     
  2. well actually there's a huge amount of space for the driver I'm 6'1 and I have plenty of room.....and the mustang is an instant collectable....it can't not be every mustang is a collecter car...you can't argue you that......Mustangs are one of the most known cars in the world.....I'd have to say that the stang would be more of a collector's item then the Z , because the stang is in such high demand....and as for your BMW it might be cheaper to insure in the states because in Canada all the parts have to be imported which raises insurance a lot.

    The stang is high demand but also supersaturated volume. The 94 300z only had 6000 sold and even less in 95 and its demand is grossly over whelming. The stang is ok but wont see marketable stang for quite a few years maybe with the Cobra R and its 300 made but thats as clsoe to the Z as it will come.<!-- Signature -->

  6. The Cobra R is already in higher demand they are completely sold out...the 300zx never had a waiting list like the Cobra R,,,,,,and lets not forget it's a Mustang it's a collectable no matter what
     
  7. the 1/4 mile time for the TT was wrong. Read any old magazine that featured the 300zx TT and you'll see that the 1/4 mile times were from 13.7 - 14.3, depending on the magazine. The person who typed 15 for the 1/4 mile time on this website is a bag of retarded monkey dung.

    I test drove a stock '90 TT and the thing took off like a bat out of hell, and the cornering, oh the cornering *drool*.

    I'm planning on getting a n/a 300 z for around $5-7k and soup the crap out of it. I'll look for one that has had a new engine and/or transmission put in it or I'll put them in myself. Stage IV or V is what I'll be getting to.

    Hahahahahahahaha that will be a big fat no the stang has a select vehicle collectability not all stanges are colectable, and as for the cobra R there were only 300 made dude get off the R strap it not woorthethe 60 they listed for and I know of Z that eat up on the track and they got to keep their AC and radio and the Z stopped production in 96 and ppl are still waiting to get one 6 years later. Now for brand new cars good ole GM's Z06 less money more performance and power.<!-- Signature -->

  11. ummm well actually the Cobra R beat the Z06 and the Viper on the track in a motor trend test.....I'm sure it would beat a 300zx......and there's no waiting list for 300 zx's there's loads of used ones selling on the autotrader

    theres no waiting list for a car that sold out 300 made 300 gone. Keep waiting maybe one sday someone will sell it. Show me where motortrend reported the cobra R beating the Z06 and a viper in the 1/4mi 0-2-60 and or on the track.<!-- Signature -->
     
  14. Funny how I never said it won in the 1/4 mile time...The viper obviously destroyed that catagory but as for the issue it's in
    the August 2000 issue...All 3 cars are on the front page.

    The track times are on page 41 in the bottom right corner. The whole page is about the road course race they did.

    Cobra R..Lap time= 1:17.98

    ZO6 lap time= 1:19.59

    Viper RT/10(not ACR) = 1:21.40

  16. I have been reading all this this crap from 94stang5L and I own a 98 stang GT, and a 944 Porsche, and I have driven a 300zx several times. I prefer the power of the 300zx over all of these cars, and on top pf that, I also prefer driving my Porsche over the stang. The Nissan would cleraly WHOOP the stang in any race. Get off your so called power trip and just give up the fight, YOU WILL NOT WIN.
     
  17. I've owned a '90 300zx for three years now and everytime I drive it, I always get looks! I simply love the car... it drives well, it handles well and is quite good on gas. When I first saw the car, I was absolutely spellbound by its goodlooks and had to have one. I have NEVER met anyone who didn't fall in love with the looks of this gorgeous machine. Although you can buy one for under $10,000, they are expensive to maintain. Its sleek timeless design is about 11 years old now and it STILL looks current! In my opinion, I think Z32 is the most beautiful japanese car ever designed!

    Sorry i don't believe that. I don't care where you read it, i cannot see how its possible for a car weighing over 200 kilos more with exactly the same power running the same time as stock standard MY00 WRX. especially when it wouldn't be able to hit 160k under 18 seconds.
     
  19. it doesnt take 18 seconds for a NA Z to get 100 mph not in any respects so just cause you may not see it doesn mean it doesnt happen.
    Go back and find a copy of Car and driver or even C&D's used car consumer reports that can gets to 100 in less than 18 seconds weight and all as for the 14.2 its was recorded on dragtime now Ive seen the car do the 1/4 in 14.5 bone stock so the 3/10s may be a stretch but Ill bet thats more than possible with just the intake and exhaust and a 1/8 tank of 100+ octane.     comparing a 94 mustang gt to any 300zx is ridiculous. a stock 300zx NA can run with a stock 94 GT in acceleration, and outhandle it by a long shot. i think its pretty crappy that it takes a 5.0 V8 to put out what is it 235hp. when a NA 300zx has a 3.0 that puts out 222hp. yes the 5.0 has more torque....but it still runs 0-60 in like 6.5-7.0 seconds. the NA 300zx does 0-60 in 6.7-7.1 seconds. sounds pretty even to me, i would believe that it would come down to who is a better driver. and dont even attempt to compare your 94 stang to a 300zxTT cause it will eat you alive in every aspect of driving. 15.0 seconds in the 1/4 mile is not realistic at all....to get that from a TT you would have to be the worst driver on the planet, or miss about 3 gears on the way down....13.9-14.2 is a more realistic time for the average driver (been tested by professional drivers at 13.7)

    go to www.Zcar.com and say that your 94 Gt is better than a 300zx and see what happens. Almost everyone there has beaten mustang Gts many times.

    Dont get me wrong here im not saying the 300zx will blow you away but i am saying i think its stupid you bash the NA 300zx when in real life it can run clost to you stock vs. stock.
     
  23. the TT 300zx is .1 seconds faster through the quarter and 0-60. For about 45K less brand new. Yes the Na 300zx is faster than a mustang GT. The TT rips mustangs apart at the shitty machine welded seams. A TT can run 13.5-13.7 in the quarter, a mustang will be lucky to get a sub 14 second at sea level. RX7 will take the 300zx on a track but that is the only place, same goes for the NSX. and the WRX? don't make me laugh.
