I can testify to that one. We have a '94 F-150 that was in several minor crashes, has 230,000 miles (gas engine), and the only real troubles it has now are the transmission (replaced at least once) and the starter (replaced at least twice). The engine still runs beautifully and it has been to about a quarter of the states in the USA including the rockies at over 10,000 ft elevation, the deserts of New Mexico, and the plains of the midwest. Quite the truck if you ask me. That's my reason why I stick to Fords for trucks.
