The following is a list of guidelines that should be followed by all members of the Supercars.net Community. Failure to meet this guidelines could result in account suspension, account ban, account deletion or loss of karma. These rules apply to every aspect of the SC.net community, including the Instant Message System and all Forums, including Premium Forums.

If someone has has not followed the Forum Guidelines when posting, please inform us in website discussion or the contact from with a link to the infracting messge.

Abusive behavior, hate, threats, foul language, racist remarks and explicit sexual images or death images are strictly prohibited.

Abusive Language
Please use healthy language when using the forum system. Many words will be searched for within the message and replaced with garbage characters (eg @#$^%). In the case that the system needs to perform this operation karma will be lost. As an exmaple. the term RICE is deemed inappropriate for use other than referring to the starchy seeds of an annual cereal grass that are cooked and the term GAY should only be used in a positive light.

On a moderation note, no one should be banned for a few swear words. If a person is repeatedly using foul language in a multitude of posts then a temporary ban will be required.

Hatred
Hatred is not permitted anywhere on the system. This includes creating topics to advertise dislike for some a group or person, having bad comments about an individual or group in a signature, diverting an otherwise healthy conversion to the topic of disliking someone and posting images of a person in a defamatory way.

Images of Men/Women
Images of Men and Women are discouraged but not forbidden from the forum. If a moderator decides the images are too explicit, the thread or messages may be deleted. Explicit sexual images are forbidden.

Spamming
Spamming is not tolerated. This includes posting messages to advertise another website/forum or posting messages to boost post counts. If you wish to advertise your website and or product do so in your forum signature. If a person accidentally posts a message more than once, it is their responsibility to delete the extraneous messages other wise it is spam.

Multiple Accounts
Multiple accounts are forbidden. The system does log IPs to ensure people are not duping themselves. If you have a multiple enthusiasts using the same computer, an account for each person is welcomed. Do not give karma to an account having the same IP.

Sharing Accounts
Sharing accounts is not allowed. If your password gets compromised and changed, you could lose the account.

Improper Thread Placemant
All threads and discussions involving the administration and moderation of Supercars.net belong in Website Discussion.

Targeting Individuals
Making negative threads about other people on the system is not allowed. The exception to this rule is in website discussion, when infractions are reported.

Privacy
Posting personal messages, including e-mail and instant messages is forbidden without the consent of the author. In some countries it is illegal to post such material without permission.
