In an era where electrification is rapidly reshaping the supercar world, Lamborghini has delivered a dramatic reminder that emotion, theatre, and raw mechanical fury still define the pinnacle of automotive engineering. Introducing the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster, an ultra-exclusive open-top masterpiece that combines a naturally aspirated V12 with cutting-edge hybrid technology to create the most powerful roadster ever produced by the Italian marque.
Limited to just 15 examples worldwide, the Fenomeno Roadster is not merely another limited-production Lamborghini. It is a rolling statement of intent from Sant’Agata Bolognese: a machine that celebrates the brand’s legendary V12 heritage while boldly stepping into the electrified future.
A New Chapter in Lamborghini’s Few-Off Legacy
The Fenomeno Roadster arrives as the latest chapter in Lamborghini’s celebrated “Few-Off” lineage, a bloodline reserved for the brand’s most radical creations. Beginning with the Reventón in 2007 and followed by icons such as the Veneno, Centenario, and Sián, these ultra-rare machines have always represented Lamborghini at its most experimental and extreme.
Now, the Fenomeno Roadster raises the bar once again.
Unveiled during the second edition of Lamborghini Arena, the new roadster evolves the Fenomeno CoupĂ© introduced in 2025, but transforms the concept into a visceral open-air experience. According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the car represents “the purest expression” of the company’s philosophy, blending visionary design, uncompromising performance, and absolute exclusivity into one collector-grade hypercar.
Even the name “Fenomeno,” meaning “phenomenal” in both Italian and Spanish, reinforces the car’s mission: to deliver an experience beyond convention.
The Most Powerful Open Lamborghini Ever Built
At the heart of the Fenomeno Roadster lies Lamborghini’s first V12 Hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) powertrain in an open-top configuration. The centerpiece is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing an astonishing 835 CV at 9,250 rpm and 725 Nm of torque. On its own, the engine already represents one of the most extreme combustion units Lamborghini has ever engineered, with a specific output exceeding 128 CV per liter.
But Lamborghini didn’t stop there. Three electric motors, two mounted on the front axle and one integrated above the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, elevate total system output to a staggering 1,080 CV (1,065 horsepower). The hybrid system also introduces advanced torque vectoring, regenerative braking, and even a fully electric driving mode thanks to a compact 7 kWh battery pack.
The resulting performance figures are breathtaking:
0–100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds
0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds
Top speed exceeding 340 km/h
These numbers place the Fenomeno Roadster among the fastest and most powerful open-top hypercars ever produced.
Aerodynamics Reimagined for Open-Air Performance
Designing an open-top hypercar capable of matching the aerodynamic stability of its coupé sibling is no small feat, but Lamborghini’s engineers approached the challenge with obsessive precision.
The Fenomeno Roadster features a completely revised aerodynamic package developed specifically for roofless driving. A new windshield-mounted carbon spoiler channels airflow over the cockpit and toward the engine bay, ensuring effective cooling even without the roof scoop featured on the coupé.
At the rear, a massive diffuser, optimized underbody, and active rear wing work together to generate immense downforce while maintaining high-speed stability. Lamborghini also paid particular attention to turbulence reduction, integrating carbon-fiber rollover structures seamlessly behind the seats to minimize wind noise without compromising safety.
The result is an open-top machine capable of delivering coupé-level aerodynamic performance while amplifying the sensory drama of the naturally aspirated V12 soundtrack.
A Design That Looks Like It Came From the Future
Few manufacturers create visual drama like Lamborghini, and the Fenomeno Roadster may be one of the brand’s boldest designs yet.
Penned by Lamborghini Centro Stile under Design Director Mitja Borkert, the car combines futuristic surfaces with subtle references to the company’s motorsport and concept-car history. The silhouette is impossibly low and sculpted, emphasizing a dramatic central spine and deeply carved side sections that channel air toward the rear-mounted V12.
Hexagonal design themes dominate the exterior, appearing in the lighting signatures, air intakes, wheel arches, and even the exposed engine cover. The rear design draws inspiration from the track-only Essenza SCV12 and 1970s endurance racing prototypes, giving the car an unmistakably motorsport-derived identity.
One of the most striking details is the floating visual treatment of the engine compartment, designed to visually integrate the driver with the car’s centerpiece powertrain.
The launch specification also showcases one of Lamborghini’s most vibrant color combinations ever offered on a Few-Off model. The upper body is finished in Blu Cepheus, while Rosso Mars accents define the lower bodywork, paying tribute to the red-and-blue colors of Bologna and referencing the iconic 1968 Miura Roadster.
Carbon Fiber Engineering Taken to Another Level
Beneath the dramatic bodywork lies one of the most advanced chassis systems Lamborghini has ever developed.
The Fenomeno Roadster uses a multi-technology carbon-fiber monofuselage structure inspired by aerospace engineering and derived from the Revuelto architecture. Rather than relying on a traditional monocoque alone, Lamborghini integrated multiple structural elements into a unified lightweight carbon assembly.
Forged Composite® technology plays a major role throughout the structure, allowing Lamborghini to combine exceptional rigidity with minimal weight gain compared to the coupé. Impressively, despite losing the fixed roof, the Roadster maintains nearly identical torsional stiffness while adding only a few kilograms.
This next-generation carbon-fiber construction also improves crash energy absorption and introduces a new patented manufacturing process utilizing both long and short carbon fibers with a specialized fluid mixture.
Motorsport-Derived Dynamics
The Fenomeno Roadster is engineered not just for straight-line speed, but for serious circuit capability.
The suspension system features manually adjustable racing dampers that allow owners to tune ride height, damping characteristics, and chassis setup depending on road or track use. Lamborghini claims the setup offers greater wheel travel efficiency and more precise suspension kinematics for maximum body control under extreme driving conditions.
Braking performance comes from the new CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic braking system, developed using technologies derived directly from motorsport. The system uses a three-dimensional carbon-fiber structure combined with specialized coatings to maximize thermal stability, braking consistency, and durability.
Meanwhile, an advanced 6D sensor integrated into Lamborghini’s vehicle dynamics system continuously monitors acceleration, pitch, yaw, roll, and tire grip levels in real time. This data allows the car to optimize stability, braking, and torque distribution with extraordinary precision.
Bespoke Bridgestone Tires Developed Exclusively for Fenomeno
To harness over 1,000 horsepower effectively, Lamborghini partnered with Bridgestone to create bespoke Potenza tires specifically engineered for the Fenomeno Roadster. The road-focused setup includes: 265/30 ZR21 front tires and 355/25 ZR22 rear tires.
Bridgestone also developed a dedicated semi-slick track-focused compound inspired by motorsport applications while remaining road legal. Interestingly, the tires were developed using Bridgestone’s proprietary Virtual Tire Development technology, significantly reducing development time, raw material consumption, and CO₂ emissions during testing.
The Cockpit: A Fighter Jet for the Road
Inside, the Fenomeno Roadster embraces Lamborghini’s signature “Feel Like a Pilot” philosophy.
The cockpit is heavily wrapped in carbon fiber, Carbon Skin materials, and Corsatex upholstery, creating an atmosphere that feels closer to a race car than a luxury grand tourer. Deeply sculpted seats with contrasting red stitching hold occupants firmly in place during high-speed cornering.
A triple-display digital interface presents critical driving information through hexagon-inspired graphics, while aviation-style switches and haptic controls emphasize the car’s fighter-jet character.
Everything inside the cabin exists for one purpose: maximum driver engagement.
More Than a Hypercar
The Fenomeno Roadster is more than just another limited-edition Lamborghini. It represents the final evolution of the naturally aspirated V12 era before the automotive world transitions fully toward electrification.
By combining a screaming V12 with advanced hybrid technology, aerospace-grade engineering, and dramatic open-air styling, Lamborghini has created a machine that feels both nostalgic and futuristic at the same time.
Only 15 collectors will ever own one, but the Fenomeno Roadster’s influence will almost certainly shape the next generation of Lamborghini supercars. And if this is what the electrified future of Sant’Agata looks like, enthusiasts have every reason to be excited.
