Just days before its official world premiere at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 14, Lamborghini has revealed that the all-new Revuelto SV has already etched its name into the record books.
The latest flagship from Sant’Agata Bolognese set the fastest production car lap ever recorded at Germany’s legendary Hockenheimring, with Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli stopping the clock at an astonishing 1:41.6. The achievement provides an early glimpse of what enthusiasts can expect from Lamborghini’s most extreme version of the Revuelto to date.
“The new Revuelto SV represents an extraordinary expression of our vision for a Lamborghini super sports car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini. “Every element of the car has been developed with the goal of taking performance to an even higher level, enhancing the driving engagement and emotion that have always defined our brand. The record achieved at the Hockenheimring demonstrates how innovation, technology and engineering expertise can be translated into tangible, measurable results.”
Lamborghini deliberately selected the Hockenheimring as the venue to validate the Revuelto SV’s performance credentials. One of Europe’s most demanding circuits, the former Formula 1 venue combines long straights, heavy braking zones, and highly technical corners, making it an ideal proving ground for measuring the dynamic abilities of high-performance road cars. According to Marco Mapelli, the Revuelto SV represents a significant leap forward, even by Lamborghini’s lofty standards.
“The Revuelto SV has reached a level of performance we had never experienced before at Lamborghini,” Mapelli said. “The extraordinary harmony between car and driver allows you to exploit its full potential, inspiring precision and confidence even at the limit. It is exactly this combination of performance, control and driver engagement that enabled us to achieve this result.”
The record-setting lap comes just ahead of the Revuelto SV’s public debut during Monterey Car Week, where it will headline Lamborghini’s presence at The Quail. The event will also showcase the U.S. debut of the Urus SE Performante, alongside the world premiere of the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage, created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Miura and 55 years of the legendary Miura SV.
With a production lap record already under its belt before customers have even seen the car, the Revuelto SV is shaping up to be one of Lamborghini’s most exciting launches in recent years, and a clear statement that Sant’Agata remains committed to pushing the boundaries of hybrid supercar performance.
