Stop being an idiot. The block they have was the same as used by Koeningseggegegegeg in the CC(S) models. Stop being a dick. They dont have a CCX engine. we KNOW!
"As it is now it produces 170hp at idle"
Hehe, thanks for the good words to all of you who actually understands what this is all about And to ALL you other folks, do keep an eye in that rear view mirror of yours... The engine i have built for this car is far superior to any production koenigsegg engines - end of story. We have done LOTS of work to the car, but anyone who have done just a tad of extreme racing understands that we can not put down over 1500hp on a regular oval/track racing kind of set-up. At the rear we have 100cm of total space available for tires - 50 cm in each wheel well, wich means that when we put on our drag racing shoes, we will be able to put it all down. But then again, this is a street car, a pretty extreme one, but you can't see any of that on the outside - from my point of view , that's the beauty of it! Anyway, for more reference on the "koenigsegg engine" i quote from wikipedia : "The Koenigsegg CCR used a modified, Rotrex supercharged Ford Modular 4-valve DOHC 4.7L V8, which produced 806 hp (601 kW), to achieve a top speed of 241 mph (388 km/h). This certified top speed was recorded on February 28, 2005 in Nardo, Italy and broke the McLaren F1's world record for fastest production car. [31] The accomplishment was recognized by Guinness World Records in 2005, who gave the Koenigsegg CCR the official title of World's Fastest Production Car. The Koenigsegg record was broken several months later by the Bugatti Veyron. This engine is the basis for Koenigsegg's twin-supercharged flexible fuel V8 seen in the CCX" Or check out this link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Modular_engine And for those of you that doesent know, the ccx block that is made in canada, is sligtly lighter than the ford alu blocks, not that expensive, and it is basicly no major/neccesary upgrade from ford's modular alu blocks, they just HAD to do something do make the package more exclusive. I guess it should be called Ford Grenade now...
Thanks for posting, dude. ESPECIALLY the bit that goes like this: "The Koenigsegg CCR used a modified, Rotrex supercharged Ford Modular 4-valve DOHC 4.7L V8" it's a long-running argument on this forum between one member and everyone else. he insists that koenigsegg don't use modified ford engines... I'm just going to repeat that quote one more time for RB to dwell on "The Koenigsegg CCR used a modified, Rotrex supercharged Ford Modular 4-valve DOHC 4.7L V8" Oh go on then one more then that's your lot! "The Koenigsegg CCR used a modified, Rotrex supercharged Ford Modular 4-valve DOHC 4.7L V8"
