I know where's the real Spoon S2000 Race car is... the location I mean... it's here in Richomnd B.C. Canada.... I saw it with my own eyes... it's not at a show or something.. but it's in the parking lot... in front of A&J Racing... the official Spoon distributer in Canada.

  13. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

These stats are wrong, so very wrong, the S2000 has an 8L engine that pumps out 1200hp, it is supercharged too!, and its performance is much faster, 0-100 mph is somewhere is the one second range and its top speed is estimated to be around 300 mph, u guys are all idiots to believe these sad stats.

  14. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

thx, i'll goto there sometimes. Hey, the site doesn't work!

  15. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

just go there and check it out if it's still there, if not, still check out their other tuned cars... it's the best honda tuner in NA to me...

Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

O, the redline is 14000rpm, but it can rev to 16000.
    http://www.carsurvey.org/review_24345.html

It has 240hp and the car weighs at about 800kg. The power to weight ratio is pretty good!

I saw a Japanese car magazine today, it shows a Integra Type R with turbo, it has 450hp! The magazine is called Initial D, not teh comic one.

  21. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

im sorry but i dont believe a word of that site, its written by some random guy, i could write in saying 25000rpm, doesnt mean its right

the fact that he says it only cost £7000 is a dead give away, u couldnt make an engine strong enough to do 16000rpm for less than £30,000+....as i am continually told at university, damn the price of titanium!!

i believe u if u say its got 240hp, that sounds reasonable, 150hp/litre isnt that much more than a stock jap-spec S2000 (125hp/litre) so i think even 14000rpm is incorrect

i'd say 11500 if its got a half-decent torque curve

    official info would be nice

  22. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

Well, if u ahve been Japan, U would have seen that SPoon Civic Type R, it does have a 14000rpm redline. The engine is a Civic Type R's B16, but Spoon did something to make it to 2000c.c and added many things to get such high redline. I'm not sure about the price though.

  23. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

so now its a 2-litre with 240hp?...so its worse than a stock S2000?

in that case its redline will be about 9000rpm

most people dont seem to realise that there is a connection between rpm and power, u cant just design an engine to rev to 14000rpm, if u did it would have about 340hp if it was a 2-litre, not a crappy 240

  24. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

If they had done "something" to make the engine 2 liters (I assume you mean increase the cylinder bore or lengthen the stroke), that would usually indicate a lower Redline (and peak HP/Torque further down the curve).

Suzuki competition racing bikes rev to almost 16,000 RPM - but they're only 600cc's. They have 12.8/1 compression to achieve this, even at their small engine displacement. But enough beating a dead horse. I'm confused. How much horsepower does this Spoon S2000 produce...

  25. Re: Wheres the Spoon Sports S2000?

Yes, it's a 2.0L with 240hp. The engine is a modified version of the Civic Type R's B18C. And its redline is 14000rpm. Just goto Japan and check it out yourself. There are sites about the Spoon Civic Type R, but the contents are in Japanese.

Having 14000rpm doesn't mean it must have 340hp. That's the same as saying having more displacement will mean more hp, but apparently, it's not always true. For example, the S2000's engine makes 240hp with 2.0L. SO does that mean u will have 480hp with u have a 4.0L engine? No.
