The Roadrunner was one of the best handling muscle cars of its time. Its chassis was very well thought and gave the car a very good handling despite its size. An Alfa Romeo bodyshell is like shit and is prone to rust like most of older Italian cars who are perhaps aesthetically nice but who are real rust buckets. I am not even mentioning very poor parts availability for vintage italian cars. I would rather have a roadrunner with a 383ci magnum than an Alfa. A basic roadrunner with a 383ci magnum and a833 four speed manual transmission was able to reach a top speed of 135-140 mph if the 3.23 axle ratio was ordered, the quarter mile was done in 15.5 sec at 95mph and that was 41 years ago with polyglass tires. Put modern tires on a roadrunner, change the standard cam by a milder one as well as heads by b1 mopar high perf heads, and you will have a very good and powerful daily driver. The road runner isn't a shit car, it is a cult muscle car. It has a very good value on the collector market. Just look at the price of the 426ci hemi or 440-6 pack powered ones, you will see how the value of those have skyrocketed among years.
I didn't read any of this post, but I'm willing to bet that it talks about how much power it has or how big the engine is, or how it has "HEAVY DUTY" suspension parts I highly doubt a roadrunner could out-handle a classic Alfa.
My uncle had an Alfa Romeo Spider... God, that was such a shitty car. It spent the last 4 years in the garage because the damn thing wouldn't stay running. Why anyone would buy one willingly is a mystery to me.
you're kidding right? look at it! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/2597506389_b4a0d136a1.jpg I'd just have it in my living room and stare at it
I don't think it's good looking, it is unique. It just reminds me of those water cars. The reliability is what kills it. Maybe he was just unlucky, but he went through tons of trouble with the thing.
No you can't. You'll get one which will be a bit tatty and will likely suffer HGF after you've bought it. 'Nice' Elises for £7k don't really exist. Trust me.
Yes. Also you should bare in mind that although an s8 may be cheap, maintenance costs are still probably S8 high.. Part of why such cars depreciate so much

I was searching for CLs in autoscout24 and saw this one: http://fr.autoscout24.be/Details.aspx?id=155339148 Completely off budget. Worth mentioning though since it's pretty rare..
