1967 Shelby Mustang Group 2
In 1967 Shelby American built 26 K-code Mustang Coupes to the FIA's Group 2 specification. This allowed the cars to race in the SCCA A-Sedan class and the Trans Am series.
Unlike the modified Shelby GT350, the K-code racecars had to retain their full 4-seat interior and glass windows. These did however, get a DSO number on the build sheet which meant that they arrived to Shelby without a radio, heater, seam sealer and sound deadening. Furthermore they got the competition engine, brakes and wheels.
