Displacement has been increased from two liters to 2.2-liters to deliver even more dynamic driving performance. Meanwhile, low-ratio gearing boosts power transmission to the wheels and takes advantage of the increased engine displacement for more torquey performance in the low to mid rpm ranges. DBW (Drive By Wire) has been added to permit optimum computerized throttle control in accordance with driving conditions.
